2021 Toyota Supra 2.0 & 3.0 - What Are The Differences?

The 2.0 sounds great for a 4 banger, but the 3.0 just has a deep German growl to it that's so nice

I'd be a little bitter if I got mine last year and paid over sticker for them to bump the power on the new one. Lesson: Never buy first year release of any vehicle

I like how similar they are on equipment and appearances, I hate when cars scream to everyone that you bought the cheaper or slower model

That uncovered 4 cylinder engine has to be least impressive rats nest appearance I've ever seen in any car including the Mustang.

Recently I saw a Japanese touge run/review of the classic vs new NSX and it reminded me the the mk4 and mk5 Supra. The Japanese drivers basically said the new NSX was created with US market in mind and has deviated from the Japanese heritage and I believe this mk5 suffers the same fundamental problem. It’s a wonderful sports car but it’s not a Supra.

The rims on the 2.0 reminds me of the ones on an 86

The way they are treating the different powertrains reminds me of how Lexus did it on their IS/RC lines.

The inline 6 is a brilliant motor and if you can that Supra for 55k its a good deal. But you can pick up nicely loaded C7 Corvette right now for the same and have more fun.

As an S2000 guy the 2.0 Supra has been the only car to catch my attention with new model cars... once i found out Supra only has Auto Trans Ive been having nightmares 😣

stating the obvious, the lack of a 6speed manual completely destroy the buying proposition of a supra. Does the market data say otherwise? and a 2.0 4 cylinder supra? I am confused.

Great looking car, but the 2.0 version is going to be way overpriced versus its competitors. I bet a lot of people are going to look at the 2.0 sticker price and either end up in a Mustang or just stretch to a 3.0

Interesting to see they got the base 2.0 model for Supra. But I feel like most would opt for 3.0 given the huge tuning potential

The 3.0 definitely has a better growl to it....that intake turbo sound is just like the original Supras

Just redesign the car so it looks like a modern version of the classic supra and give it a Toyota made engine and hell maybe a high performance model with the LC500 V8

The 2021 Supra 3.0 sounds worse than the 2020 red one you tested against the Porsche. It sounds restricted and muffled. Or was it the camera mic?

I love these BMW's, I 'er mean, Toyota's! I would want the six cylinder if I was buying it though, it sounds great and I'm sure it performs very well too! :-)

Still wondering why Toyota being the most reliable car brand thought it'd be a good idea to associate themselves with BMW being one of the most unreliable. I still have a serious problem with this.

the 2.0 sounds more basey but seems slower to rev while the 6 sounds more powerful and freerer breathing. overall the 6 is better

I'm The Toyota Supra GR 3.0 sounds fantastic

picture and sound says it all.......I sat in a 3.0 Supra before in a dealer and it feels like your in a cockpit.......I assume the 2.0 Supra will be in a forty or forty-five grand price range.

Now that there’s no traffic (well, “no traffic” compared to before covid-19) it would be fun to get those supras out on 495. I have been hitting some impressive speeds on 695 in my fiesta st recently...

the a90 is not a rebadged bmw, the engine is sourcd by bmw, but the chassis is co developed between toyota and bmw, and made by magna steyer in austria, the bmw jokes are really stupid since Toyota had the balls to produce a drivers sport cars (wich is really good) in a era where they do not sell because everyone is after a hybrid or electric, toyota took a huge risk making this car and how is the car community thanking them? by criticizing the car to hell not giving it a proper chance to show how good it his, because its a damn fine car with loads of potential but great in stock form, so hope yall dickheads are happy and cant wait to see you guys driving a prius in 10 years when no brand will produce a petrol sports car.

I’m wondering if the “power bump” of the 3.0 is actually legit. It almost seems to me that the engine had that power all along (as so many reviews said it felt much more powerful) and now a year later they are “ allowed” to say its actual power and it magically has the same power as the z4. Just seems a little convenient.

I like to compare the two similarly to the Civic Si and Civic Type R. You get exactly what you pay for.

So is the T4 the base model? Or is there also a 6 cylinder base model? And I assume there's a 2021Supra GT or some type of performance trim.
