I found this today at my local BestBuy in New hampshire, one left in stock. This model is very hard to find in the US for some reason, seems primarily in canada. It's not even listed on the US philips website
Is anyone’s trimmer losing battery super fast? I haven’t use it in a week and Istg it was on 86%. When I needed to use it, it turned out to be on 0%. The travel lock was turned on too. Should I send it back to the retail place?
the others that don't have the charging stands one of them is the /15.... that one is the one i got... i don't know which other ones don't have the stand.... but the / and number behind denotes which version of the QP6550 set you bought.... and their packaging and what it comes with is different... there is a set that comes with the stand and a hard case instead of the cloth bag that you got... i think that one is the /70... its double the price of the /15 set where i am from....
I just picked up the Philips Norelco OneBlade Pro QP6550/70 from my local Bestbuy store in the Philly, PA area. It is listed on the Phillips US website, but only available to purchase at Bestbuy. I hope it lives up to the hype. I will use it for stubble trimming and edging/lineups.
how are the motors when the battery is less than half charged? That is, compared to the standard model. one thing that may also help others is that these are allegedly 120 minutes of usage on a 1 hour charge. for me that is a huge selling point. I was an early adopter of the one blade when it came out (allegedly 6 years ago from my googling... wow time flies.) My biggest gripe was always battery life and charge time. it used to be 8 hours for like 45 minutes of run time, and there was a noticeable drop-off in RPM if it wasn't charged over about 50%. I would always forget to charge it, and if i wasnt sure of when i last charged, i would just skip shaving in lieu of risking the battery dying on me half way. anyway thank you for the more detailed review. I just saw that the released this new version in the US but couldn't really find much information on it besides the spec sheet. I will probably be picking one up later tonight.
