I stayed in Denmark and have seen Maxi Scooters from Aprila,BMW,Peugeot and the Japanese makers quite a rage over their..they come with engine capacity from 250 cc to 750cc

@@sjps1 the fuel tank is probably it's weakest point when it comes to touring. About 200kms of range. I've also read that it's not comfortable for the pillion rider for long distances. This is on my wish list. Probably gonna get one by end of next year hopefully.
Was waiting for this segment opening ... Yes we had aprilia sxr160 but it was lacking that proper maxi scooter appeal... Always admired indonesia and philipines for the variety of choices they had,maxi scooters,sports scooters,sports bike,claasic commuters ...and thought why a big market like india always settled on activa or access for theor daily commutes ... I always loved r15 ..but 155cc made it more liking for gear shifts in the city commute ...when that engine pairs with a scooter with a great weight ..that would be a dream city ride ...hope its suspensions too are tuned for india .. Expecting more maxi scooters in india ...its time to upgrade from regular scooters guys
Yamaha scooter will lose the practicality of the Indian household. It is more a lifestyle scooter, meant for fun riding. The scooter is absolutely stunning, but Aprilia SXR 160 too has the push... The only thing I wanted in SXR 160 was larger wheels and Bluetooth connectivity and please don't fall for the on paper power measures and rely on the on road performance. Anyway you can expect a good performance from the scooter.
I love scooters, my problems was long-trips, but this one is a liquid cooled engine. Perfect for so many like me, who want daily commute, practicality, performance and long trip touring capability.
This scooter is very popular in South East Asia. Almost any kind of modification is available as plug and play. Coverset, suspension, engine and lights. Modded aerox looks really cool
I didn't guess that it would be priced below 150k Yamaha has nailed it...this is what a real maxi scooter looks like .. I hope TVS will bring next 150cc ntorq maxi edition .. then we will see a real compitition

Dear Rishabh, You didn’t talk about the most important as well as the selling point of the scooter, which happens to be the ABS unit fitted to it ! That would have helped most of the buyers!

Review didn’t cover engine note. Overall great offering from Yamaha. Somehow all these Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki etc don’t launch their premium products in India. Not even the one which are being offered in Indonesia.
But this was launched in 2016 yes they do look similar after the refresh in 2020 they tbh honda has more models which look like this compared to Yamaha
It's a great performance motor scooter. If this product delivers 45kmpl mileage then it would be selling like hot cakes. Definitely Aprilla Sxr will be in trouble and need to keep up the phase. The price is really attractive. I would have liked more if this scooter had colour display with more connectivity options ...
Nice video. Loved it. I am hopeful that the Aerox will change the scooter market in our country, from the drab Activas and "scootys". We are already witnessing it, with the success of Ntorq and Burgman Street. (the less said about the Aprilias the better :D). Just wanted to mention that in 3:16, you've mentioned that the scooter delivers 15 horsepower. While that is technically correct, it is still noteworthy that it actually is 15PS (also called metric horsepower), which roughly translates to 14.8hp or 14.8bhp.
I always used to think of *automatic bikes* .. and now you have a scooter which is powerful just as a bike..so it's 👌🏻👌🏻❤🔥🤩 I wish the economy is on par with the 150cc bikes at least. Then it would be a massive hit. Also looks 🥰
Needed this 10 years ago,now petrol crossed 100 mark.Every one moving into electric scotter for urban commute.Don't understand logic of this release .Are we the dumping ground for this old scotter model. Even People from my village started to buy ather 450 x and it is a great machine.

I'm a biker guy and have huge hatred towards the scooters mainly Coz of the shitty Activa owners who think they can smoke my 220cc Avenger. But I would definitely buy this Yamaha scooter and is truly a game changer!
Scooter will only succeed it its in Electric variant now,because of high petrol prices everyone i know in my city is buying electric scooters to replace their activa's and jupiter
Looks better than suzuki burgman street but floor board should have space as it makes scooter practical for carrying something essential ,in my case for carrying wheat bag to mill in that space ...

This bike is common in ASEAN country.. especialy Indonesia where it based for production and develop. Good power and agile.. you will satisfied while riding it. hope another models come to Indian market such as Nmax, Xmax, and the competitors from Honda with PCX and ADV
