So excited to finally get out and do a first ride and review on the 2022 BMW M1000RR! In my opinion, this is the all around best superbike you can buy right now for street riding. It really does everything you could possibly ask for and more! Can't wait to start modding this beast, its going to be an epic build! That is an awesome motorcycle the transmission is very smooth I had the opportunity to ride a few of them.I can’t wait to see that Campisi customs magic👍👍👍💪
It's the best 1000cc street bike you can buy currently in my opinion...if we can get all the parts we want for this thing its going to be absolutely insane when we are done!
I always really rate your audio / video setup & quality - ever do a video on it? Especially like how you capture multiple audio streams on group rides 😎
For rides when I'm by myself I use a gopro hero 8 black with a media mod which allows me to plug in a purple panda mic that runs into my helmet with a wind muff on it. For group rides I use a gopro hero4 with a sena bluetooth backpack which connects to my sena 20s which is how I get everyone in my intercom call onto the gopro :)
Break lever guard… Check BMW’s WSBK rider Van der Mark’s save of the day when he had his break lever collision with Locatelli during the 2nd Sunday race at Magny-Cours in 2021
I am 63 and I never had any problems with the M saddle on my S1000 and I have to do a 700km round trip in one day anytime I have to bring mine to the dealer.
I just took mine in to get the rev limiter removed from 9000 RPM. I think they do that with all their bikes. So if all you rode was Japanese bikes, getting on this bike you can tell the difference. It pulls harder and you can actually lean this bike better.
Love being able to see your Patreon video before the RU-vid debut. Triumph "fanboy" but I'd love and the R1M. Wow! Can't wait to see Dado and you're collaboration on this Jaret! Would you raise the bike back to original?
@@JaretCampisi Yes, bought it at BMW Motorcycles of Ventura County. They were nice enough to drive up to a BMW dealership in San Jose and pick it up for me. I feel very lucky to get that bike as it is so limited. They knew you very well as I told them that it was you that lead me to their store from a past video you did. Greatly appreciated
That was an excellent review it really gave me an idea of what it would be like on the road. I had a Ducati 1099 for track use I wrote it on the street every time I got off that bike I felt like I was just in a boxing match. something more comfy we definitely do the trick.
the power dip at 6k is in the US...I have the Euro 5 s1000rr sport (UK) and there is no dip....9k restriction is there for a reason to stop nutters ragging the hell from new but can be removed if your that way inclined...big tip get the alpha quickshifter on the mod list...;-)
Jaret, I believe I would really think it over before I got Teens a motorcycle. She's not comfortable on them at all, this is your thing, not her's!! She's going to get hurt if she keeps trying to ride. I've ridden bikes for 50 years and trust me, I've seen it many times where someone tries to ride that is scared of motorcycles and gets hurt!! You will thank me later!! Lol 🤣....I love your channel and have watched you for years...from Pennsylvania to California back to Pennsylvania....I love you all Jaret!! Don
It would be cool to see a custom fairing paint job on a bike. Doesn't have to be on this bike but it would be a nice break from all black carbon. Maybe hold a design contest or you work with a designer in a video.
You totally transformed the last S1000 build to the extent it no longer looked like an S1000 - it was a bit overdone in my opinion. Id prefer a more subtle approach to this M - especially given its value and the amount of carbon on it already.
Absolute bullshit, the engine was designed to rev a little higher so that shifting on racetrack is easier and that idiots dont tune the engine and harm it
I think she was probably just a little apprehensive about riding to begin with, it's safer to not do it if you aren't in love with it. I love the bike and content. Keep it ripping.
I think the M1000RR would look sick with Carbon, but defo painted sections, similar to the colours it has on now. So Satan/Matte carbon and glossy colours shapes!
Ok just keep riding west until you reach Indiana then go south just park it in my garage I'll leave it open for you just lock up when through. 😀wishful thinking 🤔 I think there's a blue switch that once you push it a mechanical arm that comes out and brushes your teeth while you ride 😉 also it needs dyno'ed to remove restrictions IMO Chris Moore is the best at flashing ECU's and you can mail him your ECU and he'll flash it for around 200.00 with a quick turnaround.
Correct me if im WRONG but BMW probably wouldn't feel confident standing behind their motorcycles on the market if they didn't have the Rev Limiter early in the bikes life, also they might not be able to put the same warranty on it. Im not sure how this compares to other manufacturers.
It will look cooler with factory paint because they're rare and it will hold its value better that way as well. Even with a bike lowered 3/4" I can ride that.
First off, she bought it. Second, she had absolutely no issue riding the bike...she just couldn't touch the ground well enough to feel comfortable when coming to a stop especially in tricky situations like on a hill etc. We thought we'd be able to get the bike lowered enough to make it work but because of how the rear shock linkage works on this bike you can only lower it about 3/4 of an inch which unfortunately wasn't enough for her to be comfortable.
Many, many guys have bought sport bikes “for my wife/girlfriend” when in fact they pick the bikes that they love. That’s how I picked up a barely used 1999 Yamaha R6 back in ‘99. The guy had bought it as a first bike for his wife…yeah, right.
Seriously thought you were short shifting, which you were but for good reason. This is a damn shame!! I demoed a 1299, then demoed a Panigale V4. Before I purchased the V4S. Not that anything past 10k!! is needed but the DUCATI didnt limit RPM (obliviously be responsible with your break in miles).
@@Fast_Flick ....yup! But the V4 is VERY expensive & complicated to maintain than a I4. It's a long winded discussion between the both I think! The I4 revs harder, the I4 handles better, the V4 is "slightly" faster, the V4 gets out of corners better......good discussion on another forum I reckon!
My dealership say's to me : IMPORTANT - Do Not ever use shifter during the first 600 miles......unless you're just ruin your gearbox ! What do you think of that statement ?
Maybe you should just read about the bike before you do the review because you talk a lot of nonsense 🤷♂️ 9k rpm limiter is there for brake in period. Its brilliant idea from bmw because stupid people don't know how to brake in new bikes so it helps to stop them damaging their new bike engines. And yes you have to bring it back to the dealer after certain milage to unlock full power and rpm. They change oil also which is a must at this stage.
I literally said that in the video...I was complaining that it even exists at all. Think about all the other things we buy and when its ours, we are free to treat it the way we want. But for some reason BMW is like NAH we will tell you how to ride you bike for the first 600 miles. I just don't agree with it.
@@JaretCampisi It is there to protect the rider mostly I think. Imagine if a lot of stu**d riders bought it without a limiter. They would wreck it in an instant because they are not used to it. Then if a lot of people got injured with this bike it will be bad for BMW too.
Believe on the finished work of Jesus Christ 1 Corinthians 15:1-4- Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; - Bible Offline 2. By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4. And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: Christ ascended (Blood applied on mercy seat) “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.” Acts 1:9 KJV Once saved always saved (you have to believe this) Hebrews 10: 10. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. The blood of Christ washes you from your sins and buys your soul Hebrews 10:14 (KJV) For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
I've bought and broken in over 15 bikes and none of them had a limiter and I never had an issue riding it "hard" for the first 500 miles...when I spend $40k for a brand new bike and the factory doesn't even let me have fun on it for the first 600 miles thats super annoying to me
