i did not expect a video of this quality from a channel with 18 subs. Keep it up, this is on par with a lot of channels that have 30,000x the sub count you currently have.
A head to head is a comparison, and these cars are not about straight line speed. The new one is obviously faster in that regard. They probably don’t have access to a track to do a comparison there either, so street driving comparisons are good enough.
Can’t argue the performance of the new one. But the old model is going to age so well, the early 2013s still look great and the 2020 is stunning. Really tough choice honestly, really only comes down to availability and markups.
I'll keep my 2013 thank you very much 😁 The rear end of the new one looks like a civic to me, and I absolutely love analog gauges (I'm a watch guy as well), I'll take a needle flying upto redline any day!
El modelo del 2017 ( restyling del 2013)-2021, para mì tiene un diseño inmejorable, mucho más bonito que el nuevo modelo 2022 que tambièn está precioso.
I know the new one is better in every way, but I just love the way the old one looks. Though I prefer the Toyota versions of both cars, they both look better imo. I think I'm gonna end up getting a GR86.
I have the 2019 limited with the performance package as well and absolutely love the car, but once the new gen has that or they come out with a new Ts im instantly upgrading.
2013 brz owner here; the only thing I don't like is the rear design of the new ones, they look like a Hyundai genesis rear end. But I'm sooo jealous of the power difference and fender/bumper vents. The fog lights on the first gen brz look cheap and dingy, I would much rather have ventilation down there.
As an owner of the 2020 Subaru BRZ Limited sport tech RS I much prefer the old body style but I would like to drop in the new engine. The analog tachometer is future proof. Who’s to say an all digital won’t short out over time. The interior is negligible at best. I do like the feel and handling of the ‘22. However, in my opinion the 2020 is more fun to drive. Also, consider this; with the right performance mods for a 2013-2020 BRZ/86/FRS making them street legal, of course, would amount to the full sticker price of what the BRZ 2023 is asking for nowadays. EDIT: I just can’t get over those Honda Civic tail lights. Otherwise, the body lines are beautiful. Also, the headlights would be nice to go back to the GEN 1 style. However, purists of the original 86 in the 1980s would argue that the successor FRS or GT 86 from 2012 to 2013 when it was publicly available, would have no semblance of the original Hachi Roku. So I guess GEN 2 will have it’s place.
Engine is all people cover. What enthusiasts really want to know is the other differences in performance and parts. These cars deserved an inline 4 though. That boxer Engine is crap regardless of numbers.
I believe peak torque on the new BRZ's/GR86's are lower in the RPM range. Something that should be mentioned in the video. I have to disagree with a lot of what people say here. I think the new ones look way better front to back and side to side plus the little lip in the back makes it for a nice shape. My car has no lip or spoiler(first gen owner here). I think both the BRZ and GR86 are loads better looking fronts than their previous versions.
@@PaventiRealEstate that is true, but my daily is 425 HP and my other car is 715 so to me it is a little slower. I have only driven a 2016 Blu Edition. Fun to whip around corners, but flooring it is like come on! Haven't driven the new one, but I'm sure it is nicer all around.
