Crazy how close the machines actually are. Pretty much the same just different ways of putting things, like the heat and a/c controls ect. One of the better non bias comparisons i have watch in a long time

I got a 2022 north star with a bazooka tube . Only upgrades are light bars , window tint , and the bazooka speaker. Love it as my first side by side .

I just picked up a defender max limited with roll down back windows, seems to be a nice unit so far.

You can change the oil filter by going through the back seat. There is a inspection plate that is on the back wall that gets you to the oil filter, still a little bit of disassemble, but I think it's worth the effort.

Looking to get one of these two as a UTV unit for my Fire Department. So torn between the two. I do love that Can-Am now uses a 30" tire standard, as the 27" looked way too small. Seems like both are super customizable as far as outfitting for the fire service. So torn..

Excellent review! In the market for an older model, and would’ve never even considered a Canam… until seeing this. They have definitely stepped their game up! Look forward to watching the remaining videos on this comparison.

I have only had Polaris but I am with you the Cam AM looks like way better Quality all around!

Awesome video, one thing I like about the Can am it has a greaseable suspension and like you said its beefy suspension.at 8000 km here in Canada you have to strip the polaris and replace all the bushings, horrible, we replace with brass and install grease nipples. Great video.

Can you buy doors/windshields separately from an aftermarket dealer, if you did not get either machine with them originally? Or is it best to get them from the start? Thanks

Do you know what % the window tint is on the defender? And which are tinted, just the side and back windows? Get my limited next month, can’t wait! Had a Ranger before, the Can Am seemed a lot quieter and more comfortable.

The can am defender max has another buss bar under the middle section of the dash that is already fused and comes on when the key is on

Changing the oil filter is a real pita!

I see you have 29x9x14 on the Ranger, I was thinking of going 29x9x14 on all 4 tires on my 2020 Defender. Will those fit and do you have any mods on your Defender like a lift or spacers? I am tired of those Maxxus Bighorns on my Defender, they love to go flat.

Which one is quietest in cab while riding? I have the 2022 Trail Boss like it so far alot.

In my experience I rode in a north star 2019 ranger 1000xp and I have also ridden in a 21’ defender limited and can say the can and is the quieter ride

I am going to bee getting the Defender Max Limited when they announce the 2023's in early August. Can you put 29's on the Defender without having to put the forward 2" A-arm kit on it? First thing I want to do is put better tires on mine when I get it. Something like the Tusk Terrabite. Would be interested in knowing your thoughts.

I don't care how fast one goes, I don't drive on golf courses and roads. I use a side by side on hills and the wilderness for hunting and going places ,where don't have to walk and I'm talking ruff rockie hills in Kentucky. But , I do love ❤️ all the luxurious ?

The way the exhaust looks to me on the Can-Am, looks like a fire trap in there? Especially in corn stocks?

I’m sure it has been said already but the Polaris ultimate has a bud bar under the roof liner. It’s in the back. Also the ranger you have there isn’t the fully loaded one like the canam, So why compare them? You need the ultimate ride command edition. Then you get ride command and the radio and cameras etc..

Good video I had a trailboss on order but it’s never going to come in so I ended up getting a defender and I love it. I sat in the Ranger yesterday after driving my defender and the cab is way better on the can am for sure. I’m with you on the window also in the rear not very many people are ever going to have the windows down because of the AC and heat so I don’t think it’s as big a deal as people make it for the new doors. Also I run my Can-Am with the rear locked and it low out here in Utah I’ve never had to put it in Visco lock or 4wd at all yet. In low gear it’s a monster it’ll get you pretty much anywhere you need to go. I run 30 inch tires and put on zbros shocks and the Defender rides like a Cadillac and I also took off the front sway bar so I really don’t feel anything on the trails

Neighbor has a Polaris, and his brother has a Can-Am. They always ride together. Can-Am broken twice. Polaris hasn't broken yet.

The one thing that I want to say is that the Northstar has a much better cab and it is sealed hands down better. If you close a door on the can-am you will see the bottom wiggle even when the door is shut. You can see outside on the ground behind the seats of the can-am. Nothing but dust comes in. I don't see how you even came to you conclusion. Our group has a mixture of both of these and every single person agrees that the Northstar has a better sealed cab.

the Polaris looks more like the premium not the ultimate my ultimate came with ride command with stereo, GPS etc.

I wish they would get away from belts. That is the biggest thing I don’t like.

Put ride command in it and polaris is immediately better than can am

Look at the photo. Locking doors. CanAm eliminated the locking doors. You buy a very expensive Defender Max and Can Am leaves you with no way to lock it up. Mine Is a Lone Star. Full of expensive electronics. No way to lock it. Don’t buy one. We’ve also had the AC crap out almost immediately. Not impressed at all.

Can am all the way. Polaris are loud and hot when riding. Polaris is inferior when it comes to build quality .
