Really I once test drove my 19 ss before I bought it and then my dad test drove it for 10 minutes it was a 10 speed with 650 hp n/a already and felt weird when I was passenger watching someone drive it other than me. Then I bought it and in the only driver of it. That’s why I’m selling my 1modified 19 ss 10 speed for either a 2018 or a 2020 Camaro zl1 with that money from my ss going from a 10 speed 650 hp n/a to a 6 speed manual 650 hp supercharged v8 is a different animal and kind of fun

@@novjan89able Lexus makes great v8 fosho! But, you should be comparing other $100k+ v8 monsters to LC500, no? IS500 might be a better comparison to Shelby and ZL1? I'd take last gen F-type SVR or AMG GTR over LC500 for sound :D. Alas, our options are dwindling :[[

@@QueTheChaotic I'm super jealous of that car. Back in the 90s I had a 1992 Z28 manual. It was the heritage edition (25th anniversary - red with black stripes) and while it was fast for the time, it only had about 1/3rd the power your car has. But it was a delight to drive and T-Tops are still amazing.

Might be a lot of overlap. Red-eye has a monopoly on supercharger experience. I would look at something N.A. and lighter like a SS 1LE or GT350 to complement the Hellcat.

Eibach’s are always a safe bet for street driving. I’ve put them in two cars and both times not only was the handling better but so was the comfort. I did shocks at the same time, but I’ve never heard complaints from people who left their OEM shocks.

I've daily driven my '18 ZL1 since I bought it new. The visability is NOT AN ISSUE once you get used to it, which happens quickly. Best car I've ever owned, I will keep it until I die!

@@berengerchristy6256 Absolutely not, I chose the standard on purpose. Don't get me wrong, the 1LE is the ultimate track weapon... but it is NOT comfortable to daily drive, especially on surface streets. The magnetic ride suspension on the standard ZL1 is very good, and is super adjustable depending on what type of driving you are doing. It's beautifully stiff in track mode and uber comfortable in touring mode. It is a swiss army knife of a performance car: GT monster and a track beast all in one. The car is so good, I will never sell it 😁

I currently almost have enough money to pay back uncle sam AND sallie mae, just waiting on uncle sam because those loans have a higher interest rate then I just have to decide between the camaro and mustang gt350, and I'm just not sure. 8k redline vs supercharger whine? exotic motor we will never see again vs reliability? idk

Owned a 2018 zl1 with a awe exhaust for 3 years before i sold it, awesome and highly underrated car, does everything well, street, track and strip, anyone complaining about visibility can't drive to begin with.

@@jordana7145 better sound, plus the npp doesn't stay completely open when you want it to, you can pull the fuse, but sometimes it would throw a check engine light, the Awe touring exhaust just looked better and sound much better.

Awesome video, I was happy to see some Detroit RU-vidrs supporting one another and making an all around fun video to watch. I watched Que's version of this collab first and you were able to create a totally different vibe in your video, but still retained the fun in it to where I wish I was there with you guys hanging out. I've always been a classic muscle car fan. From that point of view, the Challenger calls to me a little more strongly than the Mustang or the Camaro. Having said that, this ZL1 was just stunning. The exhaust drone would drive me nuts, but that's a personal preference thing. Everything else about this car is just magic. So glad you guys got together to do this one and share it with us. I swear that thing was defying physics around some of those on-ramps. It just wouldn't let go!!

Great video on a great car. Alpha chassis 6 gen are serious cars and the ZLs lead the way! Question I have a 17 2ss 6M. Wanted to bring closer to 1LE handling. I have magnetic suspension. Does going with Eibach springs and squaring off tire set up (275 front and rear) help?

The ZL1 and 1LE are absolute monsters. The latter especially will shred a looooot of cars on the race track. EDIT: I agree with you both on the visibility too. I’ve owned a 5th gen for 3 years now, and aside from the initial 10 minutes of me getting used to it, the visibility has never been an issue whatsoever. It’s a sports car, so it’s naturally low and wide, but I don’t have a problem seeing out of it.

I have a 2SS 1LE that is scheduled to be built this week, manual transmission and in the same color as Que's car. Really looking forward to getting it, and while it won't have the same raw power as the ZL1, I'm assuming a lot of the other characteristics that Topher talks about will translate over.

I've never driven a 6th gen Camaro, and never even seen a 1LE car or a ZL1 in the wild where I'm at however, so I can't say for certain!

@@QueTheChaotic I remember watching that video not too long ago. Good stuff! I primarily went for the 2SS for the rearview camera, which I though was a really neat feature. All the other extras were just bonuses. If I could have gotten that as a standalone option on the 1SS trim, I may have gone that route.

Topher, maybe take a look at the LT1 trim, basically a stripper car that gets the V8, LSD, and nice 6spd tremec, but you can aftermarket the heck out of it. The fascia on the LT1 imo looks better than the SS, not as good as the ZL1, but still sharp.

The Camaro has one of the best chassis, and steering feel. You don't even need a ZL1 a 1Le is the best bargain track car you can buy. Loved my 2017.

Daamn i wish i lived in the usa. i would work hard and buy Camaro. Even if i could not afford ZL1, there are some good alternatives like SS. Fast car and open roads are like my dream. i just want that. In my country all i get is traffic, i want freedom while driving. I would love to live in the usa or in germany. even used MX5,Boxster or Z4 would make me very happy

@@QueTheChaotic Georgia... we always have a threat of a war and buying the sports car makes no sense because of the traffic and the pathetic road, but i already know german language and i will try to move to the first world. Right know i am driving an old E class, namely E320. it's not a slow car but because of the traffic i am unable to even use the power of my vehicle. everyone wants to move somewhere. People from africa and middle east come to georgia and georgians are going in the europe or usa. it's just how it works.

@@averagebro413 same here dude! Sometimes i only dream of the open roads more than the cars. My situation is way worse than you i’m from lebanon .nowadays we can’t afford enough gas because of our crisis and our roads are the ugliest
