definitely better when it can just pin the tach. I had a 6at and this is what I was hoping for from the CVT because it helps overall acceleration. The fake shifting is ridiculous.
these are pretty fast for a little 1.5 liter in a 3200 pound car. what top speed are you able to get up to? car and driver got 135 MPH drag limited in a 2018 malibu LT
2019-2025 with the CVT are limited to 130, in a straight it starts to cut power or fuel at 127-128, 100% need downhill to get it to touch its limited top speed
@@CloroxGodThe1st yeah i saw that 128 mph is the top speed on CVT models....the CVT must not be as strong. the 2016-2018 ones with the 6 speed can do at least 135...even a 300 pound heavier equinox with the same engine can do 130. however i see that companies like BNR and Trifecta Performance can remove the speed limiters for the CVT models as well, im just wondering if the CVT will be durable at higher speeds. Trifecta Performance is well known and respected, and has been around a long time so i do trust their judgement, they must do full torture tests on all vehicles with tunes before allowing people to purchase the tunes so im sure its alright
CVTs are not made for vehicles out of Need For Speed or Midnight Club. They're made for gas mileage and ease on braking, aka reliability from a driver. The street racing tuner drivers are a dying breed with these newer automatic transmissions, no offense
The traction control, and stability was turned off. I turn it off. If yours is staying that means you have an issue with your traction control system and possible abs. I recommend you googling or also looking at your owner's manual to see if you can explain if not your best bet is to take it to a mechanic unless your vehicle is under warranty and if it is I should just take it to the stealership.
@@SpeedyB2K Inline turbo 4 cylinder can't produce power? Yeah, they can. Shoot, my ATS is a hell of a lot faster than an LY7 with it's LTG engine. Less cylinders doesn't mean slower.
@@SpeedyB2K Incorrect, if the ATS 2.0T beats the 3.6L ATS, what makes you think the LY7 would beat the 275HP 295 Torque LTG engine? You haven't a clue about turbo engines and or power to weight ratio. Do you think more HP = faster? It is you who needs to watch the videos. XD ATS 2.0 vs ATS 3.6. My ATS would run laps around you as it's far, far from stock. Don't get ahead of yourself. XD
I wouldnt call it "shiftable" because no CVT is actually shiftable, they have a chain that is able to stretch over 2 gears. Subaru's peak and hold cvt is definitely better and quicker than these fake shifting cvt's
@@Brian_Eugene_Lee dude ur on meth, first of all calm down lol... second, no... cvt is only good for better fuel efficiency, if you drive like a grandma they last, if you drive like any normal human they dont, theres a reason they dont use cvt in bigger vehicles or in performance vehicles, they are slow and unreliable
lol yeah its slow compared to a vette, 7.8 seconds to 60 is very fast for a 160 horsepower 1.5 liter engine in a 3300 pound vehicle. you know nothing about cars
