TFL’s sources suggest a new powertrain. But ya who knows for sure. The new powertrain is actually why I’m not waiting. I want this engine/trans package as they’ve been doing it for a few years and have had time to get the bugs out.
Two new off road models could come also with similar shocks as 1/2 ZR2. HD might receive more updates over 1/2. GM might keep this standard LP5 for WT and updated power train for models above it.
Slight correction, the word you're looking for is "refresh". The redesign won't be coming for another few years yet. Redesign is an all new generation, the recent 1/2 ton improvements was just an update of the original. Same with the HDs, whenever they get it. As for power trains, it's been rumored for a while now that the 6.6L Duramax is getting both increased power and torque ratings. It's said that it'll have 505hp and 1085pft for the refresh. The 6.6L gas V8 may also get paired to the new 10speed transmission, as opposed to the current 6speed. These are just speculations ofcourse.

Weird that you are reviewing a used truck, probably because you cannot find these new anywhere. Other GM dealer youtubers have confirmed that 2023 HD's will be just like the 2022's but with different paint choices. No refresh or redesign until 2024 at the earliest. Hell they are not even expecting to deliver 2023 HD's until November with the 4 month delays on ordering and you cannot order 2023's until late next month.
