How can you tell the hens from the bucks?

@@dankindrew7603 thanks. That’s not always true tho right? Sometimes the kype is not pronounced at all and it’s hard to tell. Are there other indicators?

@@jeffdelaunay6656 when the fish are just pushing into the rivers they may not have a big kype but you can still tell if you look close enough.. also the head shape is much different. The hens have more of a rounded face if that makes sense! Tight lines!

Slaynsteel beads are a bead we use for bait that is artificial that represents an egg they are very effective!

Great video! One bit of advice from an old old man to a younger one. PLEASE PLEASE wear a wading belt because it will save your life one day.

Thanks for the advice! My 2 pairs of simms both had holes in them and just grabbed an old pair lol! I always wear a wading belt!

On the Wisconsin side there are mostly just kings and cohos. Steelheads dont come in til later.

You have no idea the power of wax worms. They will absolutely out fish beads and spawn bags in the fall and winter.

I definitely fish more wax worms in the winter time! But I mean most of the holes in the fall time for me is it first or 3rd drift with a bead! Tight lines man!
