Not sure I saw it clearly in your video, but the service manual shows sealant should be applied to the block not the pan. Perhaps it makes a difference, perhaps not?
Yes in the manual I think they have the engine on a stand it much harder for me to apply the sealant to the upper pan as it is over head. I did look at where it needs to mate and applied some best guess
