Subscriber from canada , wanted a rav4 prime but bought a venza, love it but wish it had towing capacity, ill upgrade to a venza prime or highlander hybrid
The Highlander Hybrid has a 3,000 lb towing capacity and the V6 model has a 5,000 lb towing capacity. The hybrid gets 35 mpg hwy and 35 mpg town driving. The V6 gets 23 hwy and under 20 in town. The V6 has more power on the top rpm ranges but the 4 cylinder has a faster takeoff because of the electric motors. Hopes this helps.
I have a 2021 Highlander Platinum and this vehicle is nice! Quiet, refined. Great ride! I powder coated the rims black. It’s Blizzard Pearl with a Caramel interior.
I really like these new Highlanders a lot. I think this new body style is so nice. I would love to have one of these but the cost is just way too high for me and has way more room and power than what I need. I really have no need at all for a third row of seating cause I don't have any kids. Also don't really need all that extra power for pulling things. If I was to get one I would want to get it in a hybrid for the better gas milage. I really like the look of the XSE model a bit more so and really wish they would make that into a hybrid. Maybe some day I will get one but for now I will stick with my Rav4 Hybrid XSE.
@@davidandrews8007 depending on gas prices and how much driving you do it’d be good to consider the hybrid version. It’s only a 1 to 2 thousand more and is potentially future proofing you in case gas prices continue to rise. 4165 7500. Let’s say you drive conservatively drive 15,000 miles in a year and gas cost you $5 a gallon (at least in California). The hybrid gets around 36 miles per gallon, whereas the gas model gets around 20. Driving 15,000 miles in a gas only car will cost about $3750 @20 miles per gallon. Driving the hybrid 15,000 miles will cost about $2083 @36 miles per gallon in a perfect world. The difference is about $1667 or about the cost to upgrade to the hybrid system. Obviously it depends on gas prices for where you live as well as how much you’ll be driving around. Depending on the cost of gas and your daily mileage it may take 1 to 4 years to pay for the hybrid upgrade.
Yep the Hybrid is the way to go. The hybrid drivetrain has a 100,000 mile warranty and the battery has a 150,000 mile warranty. 35 plus mpg is way better than 23 mpg on the V6. The hybrid also is rated at 35mpg in town driving. The V6 under 20. The 8 speed auto trans in the V6 is always gear hunting because it immediately wanted to go into the two overdrive gears. The hybrid’s ECVT trans shifts seamlessly
Hey Jeff, would you be able to request for us consumers that the 12.3 screen allow full screen navigation and CarPlay/android auto? I find it very unsafe when I am driving and there are 2-3 things happening on the screen. I’m not sure how to file a complaint about this.

Where are the TWO 12V DC outlets located? I'm sure one is in the lower dash. But where is the other - inside the arm rest center console? It's cool there is a 120V AC outlet but I really wish there was an outlet in the back like at least one of the 12V DCs. Many people have DC coolers now and you're gonna want to plug them in without running a cord through the whole car.
I'm torn between this and a Pathfinder. Nissan has the rear center console and a little better layout of the function buttons and an easier access to the rear seats with one button. The one drawback is the ZF 9 speed. You can't beat the Toyota quality and the towing is at 5k w/ the V6. I believe you have to get the AWD to get the 6k on the Nissan.
The app sucks!! I use that too although I knew about the lock button remote start. The app may be slow, but for me it is way more convenient. 🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

Ripped off 1500 over msrp i bought one! No cd player, no 11 conductor tow connecter only a 4 pin no hookup for electric brakes traylers! No luggage rails … extra $ $63,000 yea i bought one! They dont change oil n filter till 10,000 miles! Toyota care a joke!
