I’m actually surprised with the 3rd row, I ended up just moving one of the 2nd row captain chair up more and my 6 year old prefers being back there. Granted we are pretty short people, my husband and I are 5’6”. It is a very comfortable ride. We have two kids right now. One in infant car seat (in captain chair) and one in booster still. For it being a midsize, I feel like we went with the right choice (we were stuck between the highlander and palisade) but went with a reliable brand
I own the platinum trim 2023 and love it....... The only thing that I don't like is.... that when you start the SUV with remote start the engine goes off when you open the door 😔, others brands like Honda, Hyundai, Kia you just have to get on the car, step on brake and press engine star button and never turns off unless you don't have the key with you.... I hope toyota can make changes in the future about this
Nice review. I do have a question. When you were featuring the drivers side door panel, you noted the top has soft touch and the caramel colored area is soft touch but is the rest of the door all hard plastic?
I just bought a red 23 Highlander platinum & I love it. Was going to just test drive a hybrid but didn’t like that at all. It was noisy. Does anyone know if the digital display on the windshield adjustable?
No remote start? No ambient lightning? That’s horrible for a $50k car. Might as well get a palisade which also comes with massaging driver seat for the same price.
@@danightryder it does have both. Remote start is done by clicking the lock button 3x. There's also a Toyota mobile app that is satellite-based where you can start your car anywhere remotely.
Once you drive the four-cylinder turbo, it’s just as fast as a six Sandra and his amazing and that’s before you put it in sport mode. Just purchased a 23 Highlander platinum freaking amazing, traded in a 21 Lexus GX V8 and couldn’t be happier.😂
The most annoying chirp sound they could come up with for the infotainment console. Hopefully that can be changed or disabled. Really surprised this model (top trim) is STILL using incandenscent interior lights! Really? There is a lot to like with the Highlander (I have an older one) but it seems they still have these little annoyances with the details.
this is a great family SUV and I own a the 2023 Platinum turbo model but the she's a big girl and lacks the power, I plan to upgrade to the new 2024 Grand Highlander with the iMax Engine which will have 362HP when compared to the 265HP on this model
Also purchased a 2023 platinum four-cylinder turbo I think the power is amazing for this vehicle although I do admit I tend to drive in sport mode. I agree I would like the grand Highlander as well.🎉
I hate my 22 Toyota Highlander XLE ! Too much cheap plastic material, I can't wait to trade it in for something else! I love Toyota , but the quality is really bad now ! I am totally disappointed with my vehicle !! Not worth 44,000 dollars !!
I drove a V6 Highlander but didn't like it. I'm thinking I might like the 4 cylinder turbo better. But Toyota is still using a 8 speed automatic transmission. Actually might prefer a CVT.
