You can switch to the more simple digital number speedo readout by just a swipe of the finger in the touchscreen (or a single bump down on the switch on the left). Easier to read. You do have to roll off throttle for the riding modes to switch over. It’ll let you select it, obviously, with the throttle open. But won’t engage until you roll it forward quick. You missed the best mode! Standard! :)
Can't believe you couldn't hear me. The entire video, I was yelling "You are NOT in Sport Mode" !!! Must of been wearing ear plugs? ( I'm really liking this new offering from Indian. Almost as much as Roberto Grande. )
Yeah, if it had not been as busy (wish I could've taken the day off Friday) I would've definitely given the Chief Bobber and the Chieftain Elite, as well. Still had fun, though. 🤓
With the modes in mind, (tour, standard, sport) do you think this is a good first bike. I don’t really want to buy something else and then get to this bike.
This could be a good first bike for a new rider who is confident, strong enough to handle the weight and has enough self control. It's fair that you don't want to buy a bike to start out just to get rid of it when you're ready, but be sure to ride one, or maybe try one of the Scouts to see if that'll be enough to start with.
Got my Indian Chief Bobber Dark Horse order with every bell and whistle. Can't wait. $5000.00 in just accessories. Lol. I know....what a tool but I couldn't help myself. I thought the bike was awesome.
Seat height is around 26 in, so I think you should be okay. Best case is you take it out for a test, or at least get out to a dealer and throw a leg over to see how it fits. Best of luck and ride safe!
@@thatoneguymoto Ah I see, on paper I should fit but I’ve got an appointment to throw a leg over as they don’t have available for test ride unfortunately
