The Apple Pencil Adapter is the most Apple thing Apple could do.

I don’t think it’s a bad product, it’s just too expensive.

Apple needs to go away and have a serious word with itself. It’s literally pushed the boundaries of what it can get away with. It doesn’t help that most tech RU-vidrs make constant excuses for apples bad behaviour. Apple is greedy and the least innovative company out of all the tech giants. It gets way to much flowering up by tech RU-vidrs and others. It has to stop.

It would be a great deal without the price increase ($330), but for $450 it's a shame

They really make you want the 10th gen for the iPad Air design and usbc, but in a few categories (especially accessories, capability and price for some examples) it makes the air feels like a better deal. Of course this is just my opinion though, all love.

I think the reason the iPad Pro and air don’t have the landscape camera is that the Apple Pencil second gen connector/charger would interfere with it.

Perhaps using the USB-C powered Logitech Crayon instead of the first generation Apple Pencil will provide a better experience.

I have a feeling there’s going to be a big update to the Pro line next year with a price bump. Its just off seeing apple adding a kickstand to the ipad.

About the new folio, Samsung has actually kept that desgin since the Tab S7. And also the stand can fold 0-270, which is very flexible. And still it doesn't cost 250 dollars haha

Steve would have never allowed this mess. Apple is currently back in the "too many products" era. The iPad line is confusing, the macbook line is confusing, the desktop line is inconsistent. Legacy of Tim...

I guess the key takeaway for this iPad is that you shouldn’t buy any accessory from Apple. Buy both the stylus and the keyboard from Logitech and life will probably be much easier, making this iPad a much better product.

I recently bought the 9. Gen iPad and gotta say that the unlaminated display makes no difference at all (except for when the glass breaks and I have to pay less to get it fixed). And it costs 2/3 with the Logitech accessories compared to going full apple with the 10. Gen.

The device is good, but for the very small usable changes, the price hike is not justified. This is the real reason why it is TERRIBLE

They have an Apple Pencil adapter but still haven’t integrated “find my” support into the Apple Pencil so you don’t lose it if it’s lost or stolen.

I'm so confused by the 10th gen and mainly how they addressed they pencil adjustment.

I feel like I'm the only one who won't buy because of the new camera orientation. It is something that is fine for people in meetings but makes it a huge pain for things like facetime while drawing or working on something for the typical person.

It’s a good product, but what is killing it is the price.. I have an iPad Pro m1 I’m not worried about price, but it’s just worth to get the iPad Air for what the air provides, the air is just all around much better then this

The rest I can stand, since I’m using iPad 2018 and I don’t have high standards, and the keyboard folio seems really nice, but the Apple Pencil situation is completely unacceptable, adaptor is stupid, and that’s probably the only reason why I would not even consider it… I don’t care about the cantered camera but I do really wish it was compatible with pencil 2😢

The iPad Air I think is a better unit and probably worth paying the extra money for the better display and to be able to use pencil 2

I am actually torn between buying the Ipad 2022 vs the Ipad air 5. I won't be using the apple pencil 2 or any keyboard so that won't matter to me. I'm going to use it for note-taking mostly. The only thing pushing me towards the ipad air is the display but I am still not sure if it is worth it. What do you think I should get? I am also going to put on a screen protector for sure.

The good thing about this IPad was that it used to be "cheap" now that's gone so why should we buy an IPad at all If you just want some multimedia and something that endures?

The majority of users won’t use an Apple Pencil with it or want to transfer video files quickly etc. That being the case it looks like an iPad Air and is still £150 cheaper so should appeal to a broad section of buyers but obviously not the tech heads!

Why Apple went backwards with the 10 in terms on the Apple Pencil ✏️, should have been able to charge the Apple Pencil ✏️ without the need to have all them leads / adapters.

I’m sorry but the magic folio keyboard has a trash form factor, I’ve had a Logitech Combo Touch for years now (which has backlighting btw) and the floating screen design is objectively better. The folio just won’t work on your lap, you’re forced to use it on a flat surface and it also takes a massive footprint as well smh.

The pencil doesn't work while charging because it uses bluetooth in order to work. My JBL headphones don't work either when they're charging and many other bluetooth wireless devices doesn't work when they're being charged..

I think it’s a better product than people are making it out to be. I’m more of a tech snob, but most people won’t notice how the display is not laminated or the color gamut, as well as some other minor shortcomings. I do think that the way Apple did the Apple Pencil with this iPad is really goofy though…

eh idk how to feel about it… i mean i don’t think it’s a BAD ipad. interesting decisions, yes. but i don’t really care much for the laminated screen just a preference. plus i noticed my ipad 10 last way longer than when i had the ipad air 5. it’s good for my college classes, and basic needs. camera is landscape which i love (for online classes). also the apple pencil situation… idk i prefer the adapter… broke my first one on my ipad lol not a fan of the unicorn looking thing.

Yes 580€ for a baseline ipad with 64 gb is insane.

So with air you carry an ipad & a charger --the pencil is just there and you can forget about it or even pairing it if you turn off the bluetooth. With the 9th gen ipad, its the charger, the ipad, and you have to think about pairing and charging the pencil. But with the 10th gen, you have to carry an ipad, a pencil, a dongle plus you have to think about charging it...and it's still unclear how you would pair it because for 9th gen the pencil goes in the ipad's lightning port, the air --the pencil sticks on top...this pencil has a male lightning port and the ipad and dongles both have female type-c and lightning....How would you even pair it? Will it be a hassle if you turn off bluetooth often like a lot of people do...the point is, apple devices are supposed to "Just work", here, the user has to think...everytime they use it, everytime the battery drops, everytime they turn off the bluetooth or airplane mode...they have to think..and that's primarily why it sucks! And the screen isn't better, the storage isn't better...it's just a cosmetic change with added type-c port in a pretty wireless device. And Nobody cares about the camera or A14 chip, hardware is never an issue in ipads, everyone knows that.

Why get older products? Isn't older products will have less years to support. If you get the 4th gen ipad air, ipad os will not support it as long as the 10th gen ipad right? So why not get the latest and last it couple more years down the road?

The iPad 9th gen is a better buy over the 10th gen, especially if you need the headphone jack.

I don’t know if lm the only one noticing this but this is a worse version of the 2020 ipad air that has a laminated display support for the second gen pencil and its cheaper😅

Hot take: this only happened thanks to EU USB-C regulation. They probably been working on this iPad for a while and it was planned to have lightning, in that way it would’ve worked normal. They didn’t plan the wireless charge for cost reducing, having the centered camera plus supporting older apple pencils from previous owners. They had to change it last minute, adding the wireless charging for Apple Pencil 2 would’ve been impossible for the deadline. Still they managed to up the price by a lot, and that abomination of Apple Pencil workflow. They F up, this iPad shouldn’t exist.

The Pencil is done that way because they couldn’t use the Pencil 2. Where would you put it with the camera in the way in landscape mode? You can have one or the other, not both. On top of that, education is one of the biggest users of the base iPad. They aren’t allowed to buy discontinued or refurbished products because schools need support for the lifetimes of the tablet. Most of those schools have tons of Pencil 1’s already.

+400$ for 60hz & 64gb and being incompatible with it's own brand accessories. Because APPLE.

I just realized Apple could have made way more money if they laminated the display so they could;d make ipad 10 buyers spend 100 bucks more on the Magic Keyboard
