I know you said you would be doing another video on how the seat is holding up, comfort etc. I know you guys are busy. I would love to hear more about this seat when you have time. Hey Dale, Yeah... I just finally got to ride the bike last week for the first time (bought it in August haha) and the seat is incredible. I just did 1800 miles on it. The last leg was 600 miles and I felt amazing after the ride. Corbin has been around for a long time and is a proven seat for sure.
I bought this for the 22 KLR buyers BEAWARE this seat is just as tall as the stock Seat I don't feel any lower than the stock. The heater does work good and I would say it seems more comfortable but I haven't put much miles on it yet to truly tell I will update but as of right now I'm still on my toes just like the stock seat
How much lower do you sit? I'm picking up a 2022 klr tomorrow and I'm 5'6 with a 28-29 inseam and I want to lower the klr as much as I can without affecting the handling or affecting the handling as little as possible.
yes, but does it fix the awful forward angle of the seat. I thought my 2023 was comfortable until todays 2.5 hour long hwy ride. Yeah, i either have to sit so far back on the seat or hug the tank to not have a sore butt from fighting the forward slide over time. Something i didn't notice on shorter rides.
I now have a 2022 KLR and love it. It's my 5th KLR. I have a very realistic, serious question for you: I have had several Corbin seats.....and I loved every one.....except one....the one that I bought for my 2016 KLR Camo. Honestly.....I couldn't notice ANY difference between the mediocre stock seat.....and that one. Very disappointing. THIS ONE that you are showing, looks a lot different. And Corbin also makes the higher "rally" seat also. They look.....really comfy. BUT ARE THEY? The 2022 stock seat is actually pretty nice.....for a stock adventure motorcycle seat. My question is quite seriously: What makes the Corbin seat (UNHEATED VERSION) more comfortable enough.....to justify an over $500 cost over the upgraded stock seat on the 2022? Thanks!
It has everything to do with the design of the seat. You have what's called "sit bones" where your body is designed to sit. The most comfortable seat is going do direct all your weight onto your sit bones. Think about how professional bicycles have seats that are hard as a rock. That's because if you're going to do long distance you need to make sure your weight is being placed right on your sit bones. Otherwise when the weight is dispersed (on a soft seat for example) some of your weight is being put down on the muscles and nerves around your sit bones and you'll start to get uncomfortable after awhile. Take a 300 mile ride with the stock seat and a 300 mile ride with the Corbin, that's where you'll see the difference.
Looking at getting a KLR650 and this channel is great. Stupid question….is there a back rest/sissy bar option for when you ride a passenger on a KLR or more of a single rider bike?

The ones we have been getting are same as stock but we had them revamp the seat and tested a new one yesterday that is 1-2 inches lower so moving forward the dual platform seat will be lower.
We don't, that's sort of a subjective measurement, everyone's running a different preload and different suspension setups. If I measured mine it would be a lot taller than a stock one because I have progressive springs in the front and a heavier Eibach spring in the back which raises the bike significantly.
@@jimmycone3717 The dual platform is 1 inch shorter. The rally seat is the same as stock. The other major difference would be comfort. I can stand a stock KLR seat for a couple hundred miles but a Corbin I can be comfortable in for 1000 miles.
@@HappyTrailsMoto ok this helps me a lot, I just bought the 23 KLR650 and had them put the S model seat on which is roughly 1” shorter then stock seat. So sounds like the dual platform seat should keep me right about where I am now.
