2022 LOINC Conference: Remarks by the ONC for Health Information Technology

Vaishali Patel, PhD MPH and Chelsea Richwine, PhD from the Technical Strategy & Analysis Division within the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) will present preliminary findings from a subset of respondents to a national survey of U.S. based laboratories undertaken in partnership with LOINC/Regenstrief. We will provide insights into laboratories’ capabilities to issue orders and report results in an electronic structured format, use of standards (with a focus on LOINC) for issuing orders and reporting results, and reported barriers and facilitators to the use of LOINC.
