There used to be a time in my teenage years (early 2010s), when a C class used to cost around 30 lakh rupees ex showroom. Now, it has essentially doubled.
The C300d is the complete package. The interiors are absolutely stunning and the engine is just as sublime. The 300d with its Hybrid setup is just perfect! The best or nothing. Indeed! Refined inside out. Truly. The only letdown is the fact that the C,E and S all look too similar. A very appealing product for all those looking for a no nonsense luxury Diesel sedan. 🌟
No matter how much more popular EVs, Hybrids and other forms of less emission vehicles are becoming popular, ICE vehicles have their own charm... The roar of petrol and diesel engines in some vehicles is absolutely soothing to an enthusiast... Mid range and top end are also way better than EVs... Its very sad for a Petrolhead to see the fall of ICE 😭😭😭 But we need to accept facts...
The ICE is not going anywhere. At least not in the near future. Its shortcomings are getting ironed out though. Like its differential power and torque delivery character. With a 20 hp electric motor onboard, lags from the turbo & torque converter can be completely ruled out. In short, this car would be tons of fun to drive. I'm hoping that soon this technology will trickle down to the point where the electric motor can handle stalling speeds and allow the ICE to be directly connected to a CVT. Eliminating the need for a torque converter in the drivetrain.
Yes I accept your opinion but the fact is ic engine take more time to deliver performance and efficency while ev and hybrid in starting age and give satisy...in future it change the driving experience so we accept the new technology as u already know how smartphone evolve 😀
Mercedes was and still is the car company that can make diesels sporty, even in back in early 2000s, some of their E class diesel variants in the international markets were cheaper (slightly), faster to 0-100kmph, obviously frugal, and better torque-Glad to see they still maintain that and also they know the Indian market, people will buy fast cars if presented with a good mileage, and that gives us the C300d
With BS-6 getting stringent makes Diesel more greener and eco friendly in long run....Mercedez is company which shows that Diesel are still and will be in market for long term...
I used to had an old version of c200 and I was really in pain because of the ground clearance. I never counted how many times I’ve scraped my car from bottom. Mercedes have top notch cars and everything. But it’s not suitable for Indian roads. Rather buy compact SUV and in comparison buy GLA 200 GLA 220 d with a better ground clearance.
Hi Nikhil, what about the rattling of plastics over bad patches? My GLE 500f is full of all rattling and squeaking. It’s been 2 years and I am making frequent visits to the workshop to fix one after another
Yes sir low ground clearance is not for india,thats the reason mid size SUV are thronging in india,even people buying luxury cars in india are aware of indian road conditions so they are opting for air suspension cars which are much better for the notorius indian road bumps : )
Surprised why Merc picked a diesel motor as the top end motor...The 300 in gasoline would have made more sense coz with the mild hybrid tech the fuel economy would have been good...Some missing features for this top spec... HUD, Ventilated seats are glaring omissions
Its crazy ... If you consider superb and Camry hybrid to be closer to 50 lakhs....After the 20 lakh virtus/slavia/city, the only sedan for the next 30 lakhs is the Octavia ! How is this even possible !
That is one beeeeeaaaaautifuuuuulllllll car that looks like a proper car . Venom+ shark looking THING called the EQs, of Mercedes Benz is just vomit. Traditional flowing design is any day better than so called futuristick yuck designs. Top marks for this ✌️❤️❤️
The people who can afford these cause leave in the metro cities and the conditions of the road in the metro cities are very well explained by the grandparents that they feel like they are back in there villages 50 years ago what is the point to buy expensive cars to travel in a village like road majority of the use in the village like road is not a good experience and the statement in the video self explanatory and the problem is round clearance we are moving away from the reality this is the reason why is UV segment cars are becoming more and more popular
i ll miss u diesel engines😅 RIP in advance...petrols just dont have that immediate torque rush and efficiency!! i wish ev's have some noise and pops and crackles😂😂

The main concern is the ground clearance. BMW M340i has lower suspension compared to the regular 3 series, which could ground out on speed breakers. Also, BMW has extremely annoying warning buzzers of 120 km/hr speed limits, which makes it a frustrating experience to drive.
