The Pacific Classic Stakes is a Grade I horse race for three-year-olds and older over a distance of one and one quarter miles on the dirt track at Del Mar Racetrack in Del Mar, California.
The event currently carries a purse of $1,000,000.
In 2022 the big favorite is the undefeated Flightline who will run the 2000 meters distance for the first time

There are good horses, great horses, and special horses. With an only 4 race career, it might be too soon to tell but Flightline looks like one of those special horses.

What's amazing about the Met Mile not only did he break slow, he also got checked and the jockey had to pull on the horse. Still he won easily in 1:33 and change. Incredible

Without a doubt. FL should win by 5. If he lays down a 1:34 mile, it's all over.

His pedigree seems to warrant it. His sire Tapit has produced four Belmont Stakes winners. His dam Feathered carries blood lines back to Northern Dancer. I’m not much about pedigree but you can see what I mean. He has all kinds of relatives on both sides up and down.

Flightline running action has shown he can run night and day if required so no distance is too far for him as the further the race the further he will travel as of now he is Secretariat the second until he can prove otherwise perhaps a thirty five lengths defeat to his rivals at a mile and a half nuff said

I want to bet against FL in this race but the more I look at it I don't see him getting beat in this field. However, the BCC would be a whole lot different, the competition would tenfold there I would take a chance against him then.
