I've owned a 2002 Boxster S for over 10 years. And I promised myself if Porsche ever brought the 6 cylinder back I would get another one. And even though I had the opportunity to purchase a new 911T I opted to purchase a new Cayman GTS instead. I love the mid engine layout and sounds that engine makes that much.
The engine is not a de-tuned version GT3 engine. That's a glaring error in your review. The engine is derived from the 911 992's 3.0-litre turbo 9A2EVO engine, they removed the turbo and bored it out to 4-litres.
@@GaudinX It IS a detuned version of thge 718 GT4 engine. Same engine but the GT4 gets 414 hp while the GTS is 398. GT4 revs to 8000 RPM and the GTS revs to 7800
Mmmn in defence of the GTS4.0 you would have to spend another£40k to get an extra 25hp to get 5 mph faster and 0.3 secs on the 0 to 60 If I was spending another £40k on the GTS I would expect less than 3 secs 0 to 60 and 200 mph + You got short changed!
