@@DODGEMSQUAD I am regularly very close to buy one.. but I own a Hypermotard 821 SP in white and it somehow does not make sense to buy the 690 SMCR then.. but I love the KTM, specially the very new-one now again in this classic KTM orange..
Nice build, tastefully done! Who makes the headlight kit? But more importantly how does it work at night? Does it throw a better light pattern or is it brighter? I ride at night A LOT, so if it actually functions better (it definitely looks better) then I need to get one.
Thanks mate, the headlight was from ebay,, unbranded, seems at least as bright as the original but looks way better, just need to swap the wires around on the plug end but thats easy to do.
Where can I send my ECU off to get flashed and unrestricted?? I have a GasGas SM700 coming in a couple months and plan on modifying the hell out of it. Exhaust recommendations or any other mods you would recommend?
Sweet project! Few engines respond like the 690 does to simple fueling and exhaust mods. Try to stay out of jail once completed 😆 Rottweiler (and others I assume) offer O2 delete dongles so the ECU won't override the settings on a Power Commander. Adding a PC without taking care of the O2 sensor is futility, as that narrow band sensor is there to enforce a lean fuel mix, it isn't there in the interest of the engine running well or making horsepower...
It's a great package of a bike, If I wasn't running a supermoto race bike as well I would probably have already have bought a few more performance mods for the 690, but as it stands I'm putting all my time and money in the 450smr. I should probably put some more videos up of that bike
Lovely. I have a 2022 bike and have fitted the CRT ‘dongle’ like you with an Arrow pipe but the fuelling still too lean. Have you yet fitted a Power Commander 5 and the map and, if so, does it work? The ECU’s on these Euro5 bikes are harder to change and so I’m hoping you can confirm you’ve sorted it! Thanks for your help and your bike looks lovely 👍
I'll be fitting a pc5 next year. Probably won't be using the bike much now until spring anyways. But from what I've read as long as you buy the euro 5 compatible one they're fine
@@DODGEMSQUAD did you even feel a difference with a fuel dongle? I've heard that it does absolutely nothing with these euro 5 bikes. That the ecu overrides it.
@@danygorgizi8952 dongle does nothing and the closed loop lambda overrides it. Also a PC5 doesn’t work with a Euro5 680, GasGas or Husky 701. You need a ECU flash and tune (to be best of my knowledge)
@@gregtufnall6276 that's exactly what I thought and heard also. Thanks 🙏. A question do you think that my 700 Gasgas will run lean to the point of danger, if i throw om a decat slipon?
I actually never rode the bike without it, so did the exhaust and the dongle at the same time, I have however never had any engine lights along any fueling issues with the setup its running, so I'm hoping it's doing its job.

From all over, ebay for a few, sm projects, supermofools. Plenty of places to find them, just find the cheapest with the least inport costs for your region.
Nice Built, yeah, but not even a bit "full custom"....sorry, but this is only another "i grab a few bling-bling-elox-parts and screw them onto my stock 690 smcr-Built"... Sorry, nofront, i do ride an absolute same kind of bike, with that bling-bling parts on it, but it is way far away from custom built... Go and have a look @sib_mustard, he does real custom supermoto builts...
