I got mine in Interior AK. Plows great. Trail rides great. Wanted basic reliability and it has been fine for 600 miles. It is a basic workhorse but that is how I wanted it.
Just bought a 2033 king quad 400 the simplisity of the quad is what l love most cable activated transfer case air/ oil cooled lagre seat the motor doesent pop from emision like the yamiha asi valve doesnt cook your leg form the exhaust l hope thay make this quad for many years to come Your reveiw helped me to seal my decision thank you for the review
Awesome! They really are simple little tanks lol. I think they will make them for a long tolime to come. Suzuki has a habit of get something good and following the motto "if it ain't broke don't fix it"
I have a 19. Same exact model, camo too, bought it new. Excellent wheeler. I put a Kimpex Click n Go 2 snow plow system on it this year and it does a great job pushing snow. I’ve got just a little over 500 miles on it, have done some very easy trail riding in Polk/Barron counties in Wisconsin (close to where I live). Easy DIY maintenance. I also put hand/thumb warmers on this past fall, really comes in handy plowing snow in the cold. Nice choice, can’t go wrong with a KingQuad
Nice! We have thought about getting a plow for ours, but the past couple of winters here really haven't produced much snow. The one thing about the kingquad line is that they kept it the same for so long because it works, they are definitely the working man or woman's atv simple, reliable, robust, and fun.
Good and informative review. I do have one question though, what’s the comfort level for extended trail rides, does it leave you feeling beat up afterward?
Under appreciated quad, Suzuki outdid themselves on that lil air cooled motor. Very torquey for its size, and revs out nicely, 55 mph top end is crazy for a entry level 4x4 atv.
@@projectredbeard2199 No I agree 100 percent on the simplicity, that's what I like about them. I just think eps could really add to the handling of these quads. But to be fair I don't think they steer hard at all do you?
@rzl07375 Yeah, I mean, it would take some of the shock out of fast riding on rough terrain. I don't think they are hard at all to steer once the wheels are rolling.
Great property there! I live in Northern WI on 10 acres and its somewhat similar with hills and woods. I just bought a 03 Eiger in fantastic shape w/ a plow and winch and only 1190 miles for $2,050! What a great quad to plow with. Just plowed 7" of heavy wet snow for 2 hours w/ no issues. I had no idea Suzuki was still making the same quad with minor updates like gauge, FI, etc... What did you pay for that out the door, If ya don't mind me asking? Subscribed!
Awesome! Yes, the Kingquad, I think, is just the second generation of the Eiger, and that is an awesome buy! And I like having land. Haha, 12 is good, but I find myself wanting more, hahaha. And I think out the door with taxes and the ridiculous fees it was like 8,000 haha but worth it. My Grandfather has one that is 16 years old that has been through.. a lot.. lmao and it still runs and works everyday
@@projectredbeard2199 Yea, the 10 acres here gets small pretty quick, too, but with ATV and sled trails right from my driveway, it's plenty fine for me. I only ever owned a half acre or less so its def a step up from before. I bought it more for my 2 young boys. I want them to be able to ride quads and bikes in the woods without getting hassled by cops or other land owners. Basically, I want to give them what I wished I had growing up. And Papa can shoot guns once in a while in the back 40 which is pretty nice hehehe.... I have a large driveway and service road and needed something to plow with. I called the local Polaris Dealer and they wanted near $11k out the door for a 450HO Sportsman with plow. That was too much for me so I looked at used stuff. If you keep the machine for years, and take care of it, it makes sense buying new. I swear if you just maintain a Suzuki, and store them out of the elements, they would last for decades of good hard service. I was laughing when you said its rolled down the mountain like 6-8 times and still runs great... What state are you in?
That's strange. The choke lever on the left handle bar. I always turn it 1/4 to 1/2 on any cold starts, and that works for me. But if it's still doing it even then then I'm not sure.. but hopefully it's a good machine for you other than that.
@Project Red Beard I use the idle advance as well. Always takes 3 to 4 times for it to stay running, then, it will stull if not allowed to warm up for a minute. Once it's warm, it's fine. I love it otherwise. Got a 500 as well, and its trouble free.
Nice I bet it's still running too! As far as preference between the auto or standard, the 400 is full or torque I feel if you want simplicity and to just enjoy a smooth ride the auto is better, the manual would be good if you really needed to control your power levels like with towing and i think maybe the 5 speed would be a little more robust but, that being said, I personally feel that the only way to find thatvout it to REALLY abuse the machines. For smoothness and simplicity the auto is great and you can still do a lot of work with it if you need the extra option to control power and you just like shifting gears then the 5 speed is fine. I used to only want the manuals but for me the auto kingquads work great.
The one that is in the family that is 16+ years old and it still works great it's used everyday, and as far as I can tell, all but the fuel injection and some other minor changes it is the same machine.
