Never drove a Camry but I did rent a 2020 Altima for a week with leather seats. Love the way it drove. Extremely comfortable. Liked that I could see the front fenders while driving. Reminded me of my first car a 68 Caprice, from the way it moved and the comfortable interior space.
I would pick the Altima just because I like its style and cargo space. The 2022 Camry looks hideous to me, so I just could not imagine buying one. For style and taste the Nissan Maxima is my top choice, but for practicality I like the Honda Insight. These days dealers have only a few sedans in stock, so consumers have far less real-world choice over what they actually buy. Also, many dealers want more than MSRP. Let's hope the world gets back to normal soon.
Great comparison video! One additional advantage of the 2022 Camry is that, like all new Toyotas, it comes with 2 years of complimentary maintenance included. 2022 Altima does not.
This video is a great idea! Comparing cars in the same category with similar features is very useful because helps a lot to make a decision. I also liked the categories you choose for evaluation. I know other have done similar videos but you summarized the info very well. Do more of these!
The Altima SR is my favorite car of all time I have always wanted one I will only get the SR trim because it's sporty it's good on gas it's fast even though it's underpowered and I am obsessed and love the SR wheels it's my favorite car when I get my license I will get the Altima in the SR model with a spoiler in Black and this is the car I am getting the Altima when I hit the road
Pretty spot on review. I test drove both cars and the camry felt roomier and drove smoother. The new altima is still a nice car. Nissan has definitely stepped it up from the trash vehicles i remeber as a kid. The new Altimas drive nice and you can find them more budget friendly. Im still torn on which one i like better. I think it comes down to personal prefence.
So many great and nice looking sedans in North America (also elsewhere) compared to Europe. People here can only dream of Altimas, Malibus, Accords and so on and on. Yes, *dream* . Camry is available here and there in Europe, so I got one, because I don't care for the European, especially German automobiles. I should get an award for not using any cuss words.
You gave the Camry a fuel mileage point strictly because they offer a hybrid and Nissan doesn’t? But the comparison wasn’t hybrid vs non-hybrid. On that category, you compared apples to oranges. A fair comparison would be base engine vs base engine, but then Camry wouldn’t have won overall… it was a tie.
Good job. On #10 I might have compared the Camry XLE instead of the 6 cylinder fir a fairer price comparison to Nissan. The larger engine has a big price tag and Nissan doesn’t have one.
Ummmm does anyone see the camry....its not very pretty. The altima is stunning, not over designed like competition....overall looks above its grade. To me personally the only car in its segment looks wise is the Mazda 6. Most mid size sedans are to discreet or overdisgned but this is just the right in terms of sleek and sporty look while remembering its still a mid size sedan
