I wrote this in a previous review but my 2010 Camry drove for 55K without me having to repair anything except for new tires. I believe that Camry is one of the most dependable cars ever built. I loved mine and this model looks stunning.
Nice review. Thank you. Can someone tell me on the Camry 2022 XSE (4 cyl), does it have that technology (I think called idle/stop) where the engine shuts down at a RED light, and re-starts at the green light?? I'm about to buy one and i Hate that technology. I know Toyota has Smart Stop which is different. I can't seem to get a straight answer on this technology. One dealer told me every vehicle from 2019 must have it PER federal law, but I don't think so. Please advise. Gardis n CT
@@Magsbravo Thank you Mags.....where ar eyou located? Do you have this vehicle? I put down money on a 2022, supposed to be built in Jan with Feb delivery here in CT
It’s a peasant car. 0-60 is closer to 8 seconds stop lying. good car if you drive Uber but then you have other problems if you’re a cab driver. Plus you really want to carry $30k plus in debt all liabilities and no benefits. This was a good value with last model but not any more
Im getting this car in a few months and i am so appreciative of how detailed this review is!! Getting to know the car without having been in it myself *yet* seems so cool. I honestly cant wait to get this car now! It seems so reliable and well made. Thank you for this review and TD! Very helpful
@@kimtiffany7675 i test drove a used 2021 version at a local dealer and fell in loveeeee but instead ordered the 2022 from Toyota since it was the same price (that’s crazy) and comes with more benefits. Fingers crossed that Toyota approves to have it manufactured 😭😭. I’m excited for you to receive yours!!!!! Will be such a great feeling when it’s here!
Awesome looking car!! Possibly the best looking 4 - door sedan out right now besides the Kia Optima and K 5 and Accord. Why anyone would want a new SUV when you can have these nice sedans.
I think a lot of drivers prefer the high seating position in order to see traffic better. Especially since there are so many suvs on the road now, low seating positions can be tricky especially for new drivers. Outside of that, I 100% agree with you haha coupes and sedans look, handle, and perform so much better than SUV’s that I can’t see myself hopping on the SUV bandwagon any time soon! Back seat space is almost always superior in sedans too and if I needed a large cargo area I’d probably just get a truck over a jacked up station wagon.
@@WTFCRLT1 Well, after awhile, when the majority have SUV's, they won't be able to see past the big one in front of them. So the "higher up" argument goes south fast... Everyone will then have to get a tractor trailer! lol
Do people love the push out gas lid? Because I love that Toyota have theirs gas lid locked and not a pop off. People can steal your gas or put stuff in to mess up your car. Wish every car locked it.
Excellent, very detailed review! It would also be very helpful to select one or more hybrids to compare (sorry if I missed those in the playlist). ICE friends - Hybrid SE vs Hybrid XSE, any thoughts? Also, exterior paint thoughts? Rep showed that out here in CA Silver and Predawn Gray Mica represent most of the models being shipped out...
Can you do the Camary TRD edition? Please I wanna know the difference from that and the XSE besides the engine. Because MSRP is lower for TRD. And thinking if I should go for TRD or the AWD since I have to deal with snow in winter.
I’ll try getting my hands on one ASAP! The TRD should be a lot more fun but the AWD will be a game changer in the snow. Is having AWD for those few snow storms worth having less fun year round?
@@JesusSaves6369 too late lmao I already got the new TRD couple days ago been happy with it... It's all good I don't need the panoramic roof... I got a great deal on it even with these ridiculous Mark ups almost MSRP
@@xKingKhmer007 congratulations. Ima get me one in the near future. They’re good looking and fun to drive. That is all the horse power I need it’s strong. 301 hp is good for me.
@@jessiecrib6598 Jessie, Wind Chill White with black interior, pano roof and NAV system with JBL upgrade. Initially I was looking for a Predawn Gray, but Tom J. and Stadium offered me a great deal on the white one.
Driving wise, have you driving the XSE V6 Camry yet? And if so what are your thoughts on the power of the vehicle compared to this one. Im not sure which way to lean just yet XSE 4 cylinder or XSE V6 before I buy one.
Loved my 2021 Camry XSE V6! I had the white exterior with red leather interior, which got so many compliments. The JBL audio system was very disappointing, though, and mostly because of the placement of speakers by Toyota that caused an annoying "rattle" in the back deck when the bass was up a little. It is a very common problem for this generation Camry. I did trade this car for a new Ram 1500 because of the amazing resale value I got on it. They gave me $4k more than I paid for it brand new!
That’s funny you mentioned that haha this sound system didn’t have any rattles (at least not yet) but my dads brand new ram 1500 had a brutal rattle as soon as he bought it. Had to replace the drivers side door panel as well as 3 speakers😂 I guess sometimes cars just have unique issues that need to be fixed hopefully during warranty. However the Ram must be a TREMENDOUS upgrade hope you enjoy the truck!
Yeah anyone owning in a 2018+ camry right now could be banking on trade-ins or selling it. This is the one car that gains value even once it leaves the lot 😂
What!? The Toyota dealership gave you 4k more after you used it?? How many miles did you put on it? And why would they give you 4k more than you paid for it. Makes no sense. Especially considering dealerships always scam people.
@@MilkyWayGalaxyy So, the car originally stickered for $37k and some change, but I never pay sticker for a vehicle. I talked them down to $32k before I took it home. After owning it for 5 months and putting 10k miles on it, I was able to trade it into the dealership I bought my new Ram from for $36k because of how much the pre-owned market had gone up. Lucky? Maybe. But Camry's have great resale value anyway.
im buying a new car soon. im trying to decide between a 2022 Honda Accord Touring 2.0 and a 2022 Toyota Camry XSE 6 cyl. im having a hard time deciding.
I don’t do the 60 tests myself I go off what others recorded but you’re right I think I may have trusted the wrong source haha however it’s certainly quicker than 8.1.
I bought the accord sport 2021 two months ago and I am about to trade it in for an xse. If you have had a toyota before, I say stick with it. The hondas just miss a lot of the little details. They do look better to me though.
So besides the infotainment where they made some changes and the big navigation screen it's pretty much the same as an '18 model. Also view out the rear window is poor but much better if you remove the headrests
@@ChicoFilmz4is ugh dude tell me why my parents are like why trade in your camry for another camry? they saw the total i got quoted for an xse hybrid red interior and my parents were like “get a tesla or a lexus” since they’re close to price range but i’ve been told to negotiate prices with the dealership. you got any tips or advice??
@@tonyhernandez2972 bro legit same thing my mom said lol. But there is a big difference ! Tbh I say the Toyota, yeah Lexus and Tesla are pretty nice cars as well. Toyota fersure will last you a lifetime ! I love my Camry
Ok, I’m looking around and we’ll, I know how to drive a standard, automatic. Fine but I thought you were driving an automatic but there you are shifting on the wheel. Another video showed the gear shift in the middle with different options. I feel like I need to learn how drive again lol. Maybe someone should do a video when to use the different gears. I recall driving to work going down an icy hill, I didn’t want to break, driving automatic, so I put it in L2 and coasted and got balled out…this is not a standard, you’ll wreck the engine. .?? Well why did they put this on the car then? L 1 for parades I’m told .i don’t want to wreck any engine driving in the wrong setting.
Please please please help me... I've been telling everyone that someone put a piece of junk together and made it look like my 22.. And took mine.. NO ONE WILL BELIEVE ME.. my car was bad ass what I have now is junk.. I did go to where I got it and bcuz vin number is still on car THEY DIDN'T HELP ME.. but the person I think did it was also the one that took me to this guy.. and I'm sorry but the guys behavior now is making me think that he might have been in on it.. it is 9 months old with less than 20,000 mi and you can see that everything on it is old is falling apart..you can see the motors had been overheated.. there's antifreeze everywhere the car's smaller.. The radio system is now junk and some of the safety and other features don't work.. I had the V6 and this thing that I have right here has no power it's all messed up and I don't know who to talk to.. when I took it to the guy who sold it to me they told me that cars get old and dirty and I said, there's a difference between dirty and faded and even though I told them it was leaking water and stuff like that, they would not check it. I had just been there the month before and I have had it serviced three times and it's been fine every time. There's no way it fell apart in a month. Camry has always bee good cars. It's not my car and no one will believe me. . Please help me.. I need it verified that it's not my car. because it has the my VIN number on there so I can't even report it stolen.
After being the original owner of a 1990 Honda Accord EX for the last 32 years, with zero complaints. The 2022 Toyota Camry XSE just might be my next car. Extremely impressive! I wonder if it will last as long?
Don’t be sorry I should’ve been paying attention to what sources I was using.. www.carindigo.com/toyota/camry/0to60 my mistake but if it means anything I didn’t pull the number out of uk what.
Thanks brother and yeah hydraulic struts for the truck wouldn’t hurt but I like how the hinges are pushed far towards the edges of the trunk which kinda adds to its usability.
Does anyone know if this camry has an undercarriage cover like the hylander does? I want the parts protected from rocks, rust etc underneath the car especially if I am going to pay anything close to 40k.
$39K for 4 cylinder XSE. OMG. Kill me. It is going towards Lexus arena. Stupid add ons specially $699 for 2 oil changes :D Good luck with this dealer rip off :D
Think of this for perspective: This car with a 4 cyl will do 0-60 in 6.4 seconds with an 8 spd automatic and will get 35mpg highway. My brother owned a muscle car 1970 Trans Am with a ram air III 400CI v8 with 3 spd automatic would do 0-60 in 5.4 sec stock and get 13mpg highway with a tail wind on a good day. I just bought a 2022 Camry SE Nightshade AWD in black and black out package and I love it. It had 4 miles when I drove it off the lot. I would like to know how to install apps on this thing?
I purchased Toyota Camry 2022 about a month ago, and I find out. small exterior plastic damaged. I requested fix that damages, but Toyota refused repair. The Toyota said that Toyota has all the Manufacture warranties other than that particular parts I have drove to Toyota last 40 years, but now I am very disappointed
Rose, you have a bumper to bumper warranty for three years. They have to fix it if it was damaged before you took possession of the car. Call Toyota USA customer service (it is in your owner's manual) and file a complaint. Toyota is very good about standing behind its vehicles.
