Hands down the best video about this. I did so much research and was in the same boat as you. I did some testing as well and 2 turns out in air screw was also perfect for my bike. I ride. 2020 250 xcw.
I have the same motor (22 EX300).. Had it for about a year now. Left all that alone, but have the idle screw on the bench. Not installed yet. Runs great!
Thanks for the video. Just did this on my 23 EC300 and it’s good to have some baseline as to where to start. Going leaner than stock didn’t seem to make much sense since it idles kind of lean already
I just put adjustable screw in. My air screw was at 5.5 turns out to idle right. After I put the adjustable screw in, it runs best at 2.5 turns out. I started at 4 and wound it in until the hesitation was gone.
Mines at 3.25 but I need to play with it more. With that and the idle screw I got rid of it always seeming to want to stall but I get pipe bang and stuff. It came set at 4.
Hey, i have a 2018 te 250, and after i put the updated sports map i have lots of pipe bang, Idle screw mod and 2 turn on air screw. I need to lean it out?
Hey bud, I just did this in my bike and I was wondering if you bothered to worry much about the whole TPS voltage situation? I read that you need to have it set at a certain amount and mines a bit above the recommended.
Yea I checked mine set it to the recommended 585-600mv to but I didn’t like it didn’t seem right to me mines at 685 and I love it where it’s at long as the engine light don’t come on it will be fine in my opinion
@@tyler2wheels yeah that was kind of my philosophy as well, no blinking error code probably means it’s all good. I didn’t have the voltage reading per say for mine, just the % on a scanner. Think I ended at 14.51% which is about 1 above the “recommended” setting but I can’t get it there comfortably.
