Read the comments below and see people talking about resale price which why does that matter buy a bike and run it into the ground its a bike use it don't store it

The price comparison between the Voge 500DSX and the Honda CB500X is massive, if done correctly. In my country the Voge costs 6600€ and the Honda 8000€. With the standard equipment of the Voge (engine guards, rear rack, center stand, fuel filter protection), the Honda would cost more than 1000€ additionally, so it would be around 9000€ and then the price gap would be MASSIVE. The summer of 2022 there was a crazy offer for the Voge. If you would buy one, you would get the 3 case aluminium set alond with the racks for just 100€ from the initial 990€ !!

Agree on the price different but the Honda is a better bike all round and will last 😮

@@MOTOUK1 It is proven that will last and despite its high price, it is the best seller by far in the 500cc category. The Voge has still many years to prove if it will last or fall into pieces, but the price is good for what it offers.

After owning my Zontes G1 I'd be tempted to go Chinese again but prob go Royal Enfield or in this segment think the Honda the one to go for..(CB 500X) Not sure how the New Chinese bikes will last. So far for me no complaints! (I had to get a new footrest took a few weeks so not hugely slow).

It looks the part and as you say time will tell I guess I think going on what you found I would go for the Honda or I have been looking at Aprilia's 650 Pegaso it's not the Tuareg which is one hell of a lot more expensive . This is to be a sort of run around type bike really have you ever ridden one Nick ? good review as always : )

Think twice before you go for the Pegaso. Model officially stopped, no more parts from the factory. Too many issues like rear suspension needed repair at 15.000 km, rear brake disc cracked, radiator reserve tank cracked also, engine ignition switch malfunctioned twice, flywheel broke at 30.000 km and the list goes on. Model is 650 strada 2008

Spoken to some owners who have put 8000 miles on them with only led bulbs failing. It's just the 3000 mile servicing and poor parts backup and poor resale values that kill this bike. Also you cannot get one at the minute, checked with dealers out of stock with warehouse out of stock in Devon.

Yeah for me Chinese was a punt for a 125 for my next bike I'd wait to see how they do after people own them a few years. (Am 700 miles in and no issues)

I think the Honda 500x is a cheaper bike to own, so I'm out. This might be a grand or so cheaper to buy, but it's going to be worth nowt at 3 year old when the Honda will be worth loads more. Plus the Honda isn't going to go wrong.

Not sure these are worse than Honda per say in terms of reliability. I agree though that was true of a few years ago... Time will tell. I'd still prob go for the Honda...but a grand is a nice saving. (I own a Chinese Zontes G1).
