I didn't know that Leo Vince did link pipes! That's a good way to cut cost by not installing a full system but get the sound that you're looking for! Great video man! Thanks!
@66Moto

Ya it’s a really great 3/4 system. Way cheaper then doing a full system. Yamaha doesn’t weld the CAT and muffler to the header like other manufacturers. Ya it produces a really nice sound. It’s not over powering. Thanks man. 👍🏻🏍️

There are many many more than Leo as well. Also Ali Express systems and link pipes also amazing
@Yii00T

Also these bikes have titanium headers so you shouldn't really need a full system when they have made is so easy to split from the cat back.

@Yii00T I don't think this is accurate. The R1 M has titanium headers and the R1 and MT 10 and SP get stainless headers.

Sounds great ! Thank you ! Interesting to watch, from an aesthetic point of view, I think I’d have put the silencer clamp so that the screw was on the other side of the pipe, out of sight would look better. A terrific bike, too. Keep up the good work.

Thank you. It definitely sounds amazing. Not over powering for the ear holes lol. Yes yes it would definitely look good with the bolt more hidden. It’s definitely a great bike just needs a tune now to wake it up a little. Thank you.

Planning on going through this process on my 2017 MT-10SP with a leovince decat + arrow exhaust. The connections on the 2022 vs the 2017 look to be (mostly) the same. I'm sure your video will help. It will be my first time doing a decat. Most I've done in the past is a slip-on system on my old Street Triple.
@66Moto
@66Moto Месяц назад
Nice. The arrow will sound awesome. Ya it’s mostly the same process. I know some on the measurement are slightly different so make sure you get the right link pipe. Other than that you will definitely want to get a tune after doing the de cat. It’s a whole different bike with the weight saving and the tune.
@jackcarver1000

@@66Moto Yeah definitely bringing it to a shop for a tune afterwards. It's going to cost a fair bit, I'm sure. But I want to do it right. My main concern is the bike becoming too loud. The stock sound is too low, but I don't want to piss everybody off either. The rules can also be pretty strict here in the EU. I don't want my exhaust to get confiscated if I decide to do a roadtrip into Germany. That's why I went for the Leo Vince and Arrow. Both seem to come with a db killer. I plan on using both the db killer in the linkpipe and leave the db killer in the Arrow muffler as well. Hope it will be enough to bring down the volume, whilst still being an upgrade over the stock setup. For now I got to be patient. The store informed me that both the linkpipe and the muffler are not in stock and need to be ordered from the factory.

I had to take BOTH aluminum block brackets off my 23 before there was enough play to remove the cat....the second one is bolted to the bottom rear of motor and is a BIATCH with the cat on to get the screws out! The cat absolutely was NOT coming off until those brackets were out

To be a correct installation, you should not install an eliminatory servo exhsust?

Thanks man, I appreciate your time and effort into this video. I'm going to do the same on my '22. So, removing the two EXUP cables is no big deal? Why are people buying a servo buddy? Cruise control still works, & no check engine light? Thanks brotha

No problem man. Glad it helped. Nice man you will like it. Ya removing the EXUP valve is no issue. Just remove the cable that run from the motor under the seat to the valve. You will need to keep the motor plugged in or you will lose you cruse control function. No problem brother

@66Moto
@66Moto Год назад
No problem. I am really glad it help you to install your exhaust. The bike sound so much better over stock. No I haven’t tuned the bike just yet. I’m think of sending my ecu to Vcyclenut. I notice he has a video of him doing testing with the same link pipe and stock silencer. If I don’t do that I’ll be taking my bike in next spring to a local tuner to get flashed and custom map. To my surprise the bike actually runs okay with out a tune. I’ve definitely noticed a reduction in power in the lower rpm. I would still definitely get a tune because it’s most likely running lean and that’s no good for a engine. Ride safe brother 🤙🏻

Hey , what if the cables remain in servo motor after I changed the exhaust ? Any harm ?
@66Moto
@66Moto 4 месяца назад
Hey. I would just remove them completely. Eliminates the risk of the slipping out and ending up in your rear rim. They are long. They are easy to get out of the servo motor housing.

Hey. I haven’t got the bike tuned just yet. I’m thinking that I’m going to send my ECU to Two Wheel Dyno Works. They seem to have the best one and are the most knowledgeable about them. VCyclenut would also be a good option. The bike runs like shit with exhaust added and no tune. Loss of power down low and twitchy throttle. Hope the video helped.

Hello, im gonna buy this silencer for my R1 but my supresor is Mivv, it will be any fixing problem ? Also the spring is 100% necessary cuz I can’t put it on my supressor
@66Moto
@66Moto Год назад
Hey there. I’m not 100 percent sure how the fitment will be with the Mivv supresor. I would check out the diameter of the Mivv pipe and the diameter of the Leo Slip on to make sure it will slip on. Also if the Leo slip on has the clamp with it then it should be tight enough to hold. Before I put the spring on it was really secure with out spring.

Do you need to do dyno or remap after that?
@66Moto
@66Moto Месяц назад
Yes I would highly recommend you do. Mine ran like shit after putting the exhaust on. Lost power down low, like a noticeable amount. I have mine done now with a mail in ECU service and the bike is running amazing now. Completely different bike in a positive way. More power, smoother throttle.
@patricematte9941
@patricematte9941 3 месяца назад
Do you need dyno after that? I will run lean no?
@66Moto
@66Moto 2 месяца назад
Yes definitely will need a tune. After I installed the exhaust the bike ran like crap but that was to be expected. The MT10 has an open and closed loop system. From idle up to rough 5000 rpm it used the O2 sensor to adjust fuel and the switches over to pre written map. So in low RPM the bike was running really rich and I lost all power down low it smelled like I had a gas station was following me around haha, and in the high RPM the bike was leaning out and not getting enough fuel. It’s okay for a little while but you definitely doing damage to the engine if you don’t get a tune. Some people say you don’t have to but I completely disagree with that.
@ichbinnichthier347
@ichbinnichthier347 Год назад
Nice Vid! Does it actually harm the engine when you dont put a remap on ? I thought about getting the link pipe but here in germany we have very strict emission rules and we have to bring all kinds of vehicles to the TÜV (Technical Supervisory Association)every two years, were the emissions are measured. So my plan was to put the OEM silencer back on when I need to go the TÜV. A remap probably would increase the emissions and let me fail der instruction.
@66Moto
@66Moto Год назад
Thank you. Long term running bike without aftermarket exhaust and no tune could potentially damage the engine. When you put exhaust on it make the bike run lean. If it runs lean it heats everything up like the spark plugs, valves, pistons ext. You could always put stock exhaust back on for your Tech inspection. I’m not sure it would make it fail emissions because most tunes get it close to proper AFR anyway. Plus with the cat being back on it would filter out and un burnt gas.

@@66Moto thank you I assumed that. Life here for bike guys is really tough. Some cops would confiscate the bike and give you 1000€ ticket if you would ride straight pipe. At least we have the Autobahn were we can push the shit out of our bikes

@Capsulecorp01 Some systems are 3/4 system that take of the Cat/Muffler on the MT10 it uses the stock headers. Or you can get full system that come with the headers and the silencer. CAT stands for catalytic converter.
