@@Russellscottx i agree . in the service manual the jetting is dependent on altitude and temperature . after rejetting it ran a lot better . took about 30 minutes and was just the needle , and the pilot . the ones to use should have come with the bike so you don't have to buy them . i also really suggest going to a 14 tooth front sprocket , and a 48 tooth rear ( factory is a 13 and 49 ) . with the 14/48 , you lose 10% at the low end , but gain 10% up top ( #'s are from a sprocket calculator compared to factory ) . and it really further broadened the power, prob 2x as noticeable as my exhaust mod . i went with a pro circuit carbon silencer and a bills pipes pipe . and i run VP t2 fuel which is a 40:1 , with a little Motul 800 series oil added to bring it back to the suggested 32:1 . id bet i gained 7-10hp up top and 2000rpm more usable powerband . world of a difference over stock . next plans are to replace the oem piston , i guess they are prone to cracking, and a forged is suggested so you don't have to risk cylinder damage . easy job , not much $ , and raises compression a little. .
