This will be the first time I’ve used an all-in-one curriculum two years in a row! Oak Meadow worked so well for us last year! I’m hoping it will be a great fit for us again as we continue into middle school!
I am not a homeschooler, but I started following you when schools were shut down. You share resources that I wouldn't consider or come across. Thank you!
I’ve never heard of Oak Meadow; this looks like a great curriculum! We’ve read Esperanza Rising and A Single Shard and LOVED them! That world atlas looks awesome.
I lived this video!! This will be our first official year of homeschool for my 6th and 7th grader BUT I’m bumping one of them up and just ordered each their 7th grade Oak Meadow curriculum after watching this video (and your other oak meadow ones) thank you ♥️
😊 We love it so much. I think of Oak Meadow as a really good spine for our homeschool. Lots of guidance but lots of room to add in and tailor to our needs. Yes! We had to hit up the library more this year. The book budget couldn't keep up. 😄 Thanks for watching.
The only thing we've used consistently is Daily Grams for grammar. We use other resources but only as needed. We use IXL.com . I pick and choose concepts that support or fill in what we're learning with OM. I have also pulled in Brave Writer and other novel studies for the assigned readings. We've also replaced readings. They have also done Outschool.com classes for writing. I've used a few other things as well, but again only as needed or if time allowed.
@@TheSimpleHappyLifeOkay, my 5th grader has already been doing IEW and it's working well for him but I worried it would be too much. He's also starting All About Spelling as well. I think ELA is so important but didn't want to overwhelm him. My 7th grader is also doing Zaner-Bloser Grammar and Jump In Writing. I guess we will just take it one week at a time. Thanks! There aren't a lot of Oak Meadow videos on YT so I appreciate them!
