@@zoomgas2803 Thanks, I did it to my 2015 crv a few years ago, but wasn't sure about my 2024 until I saw your video, thanks, oh and by the way collage hills honda is out of stock on the horn kits.
Ya, I did get my Civic upgraded w/out dropping bumper, video of that on my Civic playlist. But it did take a removal of a bracket. Now both sound much better!!
A simple alternative to replacing the horn is to adjust the existing horn's tone/volum. the factory horn has a single Phillips screw on the back of the factory horn (you have to take out the 12mm headed mounting bracket bolt to see it) and thought it looked like an adjustment screw. Sure enough, I played with it and got a way better sound from the horn. You have to take out the big plastic cover in the front, with the hood opener hole to get to the horn, but not a big deal with small blade screw driver and pliers.
This is a great overview of installation and operation. Especially liked the before and after volume from inside another car. College Honda is currently "out of stock" so I'll look for another option. Again, excellent!
A heads up to those with a different trim level - where ZoomGas installs the new horn you may have a circular sensor already installed there. If so on the other side of the engine bay there's already a tapped grommet where you can attach the 2nd horn. You can even use the gold screw from the horn kit for mounting. It looks almost stock!
I got the 2024 Hybrid Touring and i thought it was just me when i heard my horn for the first time. Can i not just replace the oem horn with a much louder one?
@zoomgas2803 how do the clips come out of the trim piece covering the horn? And would directly swapping out the horn with a low tone instead of adding a second one be good enough?
The 6 clips come out by pulling up w the tool shown in the video on the center of the clip. If you only swap the horn it will not give you the fuller, dual tone, just a lower ‘meep meep’. Thanks for watching!
In reply to your filter change video. If this is the same 2023 CRV EXL, the one in this video has a SQUARE filter. This engine bay is not the same in the video I commented on earlier.
I can’t even tell if other drivers can hear my horn when I push on it. Barely hear it over the fans when I’m running the windshield defroster on full blast in the winter.
Let me know what type of upgrade you looking for me to do, or if your just looking for video of certain areas of the new CR-V, let me know specific and I will post.
@@zoomgas2803 can you show me videos on 1. Hidden Features of Honda CRV 2. Can you able to add fog lights in that model 3. Boot Liner which are you using or parcel tray... Thanks in advance
The 2017 has 2 smaller ‘meep meep’ horns and they can also be upgraded to the snail style horns. See my video on my 2022 Civic, as that is similar to what you will find in late model CRV, Accords, etc. thanks for watching! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8oDg2iElTMw.html
There is space but the wire harnesses I have linked in the description would not be long enough to reach to that side. So you would need to splice extensions on to make that work, which is possible. Thanks for watching.
I noticed they got cheap and cut corners all over. Paid for ex-l trim expecting leather seats, but they put carpet fabric on the sides of the driver and passenger seats instead of wrapping the leather down both the sides!
I have CR-V hybrid 2023, when i opened the front cover. I found a small circle thing inplace of the new horn you just installed. Any idea what that might be?
Well that’s very interesting, so does it sound like the meep-meep of prior CR-V’s? Take a picture if you could. So then you can just buy the double horn kit along with the other parts I have listed to upgrade.
@@zoomgas2803it sounds exactly like yours before you added the high tone, meep meep lol (i even feel ashamed of hoking at someone in mine brand new 2023 CR-V) where can I find double horn kit?
@@javedamin I think it varies by trim level as I had the circular sensor there also. If you look at other side of the car there's already a tapped grommet you can use to attach the new horn. If you purchase the horn from Amazon the supplied screw even fits.
@@Emmo213 the question is.. will the harness be long enough so that it would extend to the other side of the car? Can you add a picture if you have done this before?

@@zoomgas2803 How did you trim the ends off and strip them. The horn you bought and with came with a harness. Also what is the 18 gauge wires and 1/4 quick connects for?
Hi is there an easier way to reach you? I bought the below items and connected it to the second horn you recommended but it still does not work. X AUTOHAUX Car Speaker Wire Adapter Audio Horn Harness Cable Connector for Honda Civic 2pcs - Comes with 2 - only need one. Says it's for a Civic but works perfect for the CR-V. Car Horn One-to-Two Converter Wiring, Plug-and-Play Y Type Horn Adapter Wiring Harness Compatible with Honda Ten Generation Civic/17CRV/19 Lingpai/18 Fengfan(Double pin Plug) - Again - says it's for the 10th Gen Civic but works for the CR-V. Any help would be appreciated.
The plus has power, but when I connect both horns it does not work. My problem is I dont have a ground. How do I add a ground between both of the connectors?
