As a prospective member, this is a very informative video for me. Good to see common sense Americans with the insight to create such a network. May God continue to bless the United States of America and all of us who seek to protect ourselves and our loved ones from evil.
As a long time member I'm very happy that I chose this organization vs "insurances". Big difference. Plus, we constantly get educational materials and updates. Thanks for doing this important task. As more states adopt shall issue or constitutional carry groups like this are more important than ever.
As a member it is good to be reminded that I need to work on this task of assigning an attorney. I started but didn't finish. I'll make it a priority now. Thanks for being there for us.
@@jayiverson2865 Well when I signed up AOR covered a lot less than it does now.. Even so, it's nice to have them for expert witnesses and probably a few other things. I really need to dig through the benefits and figure out where they compliment each other now. ACLDN is so inexpensive it's worth it to me
@jayiverson2865 good question! I joined ACLDN because it is 1 of the few Plans to offer coverage in my home in NYC, NY. I picked them because they are NOT insurance, but rather a legal defense plan that covers self defense situations. Since I have made a choice to legally carry a firearm for self defense, sport shooting & hunting, I need to be covered if God forbid I have no other option but to defend myself. As a retired LEO, I know that these situations can happen. While I do my utmost to avoid any & all areas or situations, one never can know when the absolute need will occur. So I am happy with my selection. And since I also qualified for CCW Safe in NY, under LEOSA, I have their H.R.218 Plan as well. I joined them after ACLDN to provide some overlap, as well as gain some protection or benefits that the insurance type of programs provide.
Thanks for these videos. I might add that after choosing an attorney, check in once a year or so and make sure that they are still practicing. I had chosen, and met with, a network recommended attorney and decided, after a year or so just to touch base with his office. That is when I discovered that he had retired in the meantime. Learning that let me choose a new lawyer at my leisure, rather than at the moment I found myself needing one.
Thanks for all you do for your members and the 2A community. There are 2 N/W affiliated attorneys within 45 minutes of my rural location who pass muster by my rudimentary checks. I am retired and have no good reason not to meet w/ them in 2024 to speed up the process should the self defense need arise. However since we travel often to states to visit family where I am legal to carry, finding an attorney in advance is problematic. Your description of the process is illuminating and again, appreciated. Best of health and success in 2024.
Thank-you Jeff. If you are traveling and do not have an attorney nearby, that is where the "Boots on the Ground" protocol will kick in. where ever you are, someone will be there with boots on the ground, within 24 hours to find a suitable attorney.

I am a network member so I have Martys cell phone number and a MAG40 graduate so Mas has offered his assistance as needed…these two facts, knowing who is in my corner of the doody hits the fan, lets me sleep so much better. The annual dues are so low it’s silly not to belong.
After watching this video i have decided to go with acldn. I was looking at us lawshield and FLP. Also acldn was very responsive when i emailed them a few days back. 👍
i very much appreciate this discussion of how the attorney process works. I have been a member for many years now and especially value the video and written training offered by the Network. Anyone carrying a firearm needs to understand the circumstances under which it is lawful to use lethal force. You can get a lot of it through the ACLDN. That alone is a major benefit of membership. I applaud your efforts over all these years to make the ACLDN what it had become.
@@martyhayes7168 Marty, I will now probably be splitting the time between NYC, NY & Central Florida. So I have found attorneys in both locations. 1 of them I sent in already to have listed in my profile with ACLDN. Is there a provision to add in a 2nd attorney in my other location? 🤔
