Every coverage company, and defense network should have a thorough video explaining who they are, and what they cover, and what they don't like this. Thank you Marty.

I am a retired Law Enforcement Officer. I have been thinking of getting CCW insurance or association protection for some time. I happen to live in a very liberal state when it comes to crime, and it's not 2A friendly. Twice within a 6 month time period I saw a local homeless individual, who is known to police and has over 40 arrests. The perp is known to be violent and has pulled a knife on many individuals; yet never is kept off the streets. Enough is enough, with the state I reside in consistently letting violent criminals out; I decided it was time to finally get some coverage/protection. I decided against insurance based ones, because they are regulated by insurance companies and have too much fine print (to possibly get out of covering its members). ACLDN met my needs at a price point, that was extremely reasonable. Additionally I trust the President of ACLDN, the board and employees to have my back. They are ALL well known and respected by Law Enforcement Trainers. With this inn mind ACLDN, was the only one for me.

I’m in Ca.. Similar to exact same here. I do my best to avoid, even leave possible conflict situations at public venues. Even though I am old now, my eyes, my past trainings, will never leave me. I’m glad I watched this video. I’m never too old to not be open to learning new information. I’ve not carried for four years due to medical issues. That and the fact I am no over confident combat shooter any longer. My skills sets have diminished over time. I under dress. I don’t wear nice things. I love watches, But only own one. I drive an old jeep around. No one cares, even eyes me. Its a six speed, makes it hard to steal. I don’t lock it. Cheap radio is all. But? Its sad we must live this way. I never in my 68 years here ever thought my community would evolve to this level of debauchery and decrepency our leaders have legislated to “We the People” We the People are Forever gone. I am also saddened in my heart. Thank You Gentlemen. Retired LEO.

My wife and I have been ACLDN members for over a decade and have complete faith in their program. The gun grabbing Insurance Commissioner and Governor of Washington have driven out all the other self defense coverage that sold their product as insurance. ACLDN did not claim to provide "insurance" from the very start, but only a defense benefit to existing members if the advisory board believes that the member acted reasonably and lawfully in a self-defense incident. After a legal battle, the Ins. Commissioner allowed ACLDN to continue to provide for existing members in Washington but not allow new members. Thank God we were members. Without ACLDN, we would not have support that we can rely on if we are involved in a self-defense incident.

Hi Marty! Thanks for setting the record straight ad explaining the program. I've been a member for only a short time (since taking Mas' MAG-20 class last year) and decided ACLDN was best for me after very thoroughly reviewing all the others. As long as I'm alive, that membership will never expire. I sleep well at night with a firearm close by and an ACLDN member card in my wallet. Member # 35129 (and certified MAG Disciple...😇).

I hope to never have to use a firearm for self-defense of myself or others but know that, if I do, I will have some significant explaining to do in the aftermath. I decided to go with ACLDN a few years back after reading many of the on-line comparisons. Two points: 1) The training videos (pretty extensive and presented by very credible folks) and the printed reading material provided cover both the big and the subtle points related to self-defense - via the training I now understand more than I ever did what is a legitimate self-defense and what is not. The training will no doubt inform any actions I may have to take if it comes to it, and 2) I do believe that ACLDN will have my back as long as I do my part - act in a legitimate manner. No I wasn’t paid to submit this, just some unsolicited thoughts on what works for me.

Thank you for the video. Straight forward and clean description of the mechanics of how benefits work, without a lot of smoke blowing Marketing. I have a question: You stress benefits hinge on any legitimate act of SELF defense. What about in defense of someone else? A couple of real world scenarios come to mind: 1) The young man who shot down the Mall shooter, fired 10 times hit the active shooter 8 times. 2) The man who rendered aid to an officer in trouble off a freeway I think it was. Guy was on top of the cop, wrestling for the gun, and a guy walked over with his handgun and shot the man on top of the Officer who was (if I recall correctly) winning the fight getting control of the officer's gun. Thanks again, nice job on the video, it was very, very, helpful.

I don't know, 4 million doesn't sound like much. 1 Kyle Rittenhouse case and you're bankrupt. More exclusions than even insurance backed programs too. All plans will boil down to someone approving the benefits to enact, it's just that the standard can be very subjective from company to company. What about civil defense? It is looking like Attorneys on Retainer seem to be the way to go. No insurance backing, you are a client of the firm for both criminal and civil defense.

@@jrexchandler1 Perhaps I wasn't clear enough. I'm trying to ascertain what would disqualify you in the event of a self defense shooting. Would a simple charge like that, in addition to whatever else you face disqualify you? Would Elijah Dickens be helped if he caught a charge for stopping the mass shooter in the mall? I don't think politically motivated prosecutors that would prosecute someone on a clean shoot would stop with that, they're going to stretch as far as they can to pile charges on you. If that disqualifies you from benefits, I don't know how much of a help it would be.

With the recent incidents in Maine and both places being posted No Guns locations (Class D Crime in Maine), would ACLDN still provide coverage for otherwise lawful self-defense when an individual defends themselves in a "gun free" zone? Or is carrying in a prohibited place automatically prohibitive of receiving benefits even if the self-defense was otherwise lawful?
