My year in review. It is painfully obvious that without FFS you can't win consistently. In other words, who is best at video games now, not fishing. Yes, yes, yes you still have to catch them but I am now catching not fishing. Do you really feel as good about shooting pheasants at a game farm? ( yes you still shoot them) but you have to admit it is more challenging and hence more rewarding (and fun) when you hunt wild birds- correct?? If you are honest you would agree and say YES)) I use FFS but it has ruined a lot of the joy of fishing. Now I like river smallmouth and muskie fishing over rocks without FFS and just using good old side imaging because I like the rewarding feeling it gives me and that is why most of us fish. I stopped watching Bassmaster tournaments now unless I see it is all shallow junk like in Lacrosse e.g. Who cares who is the best at video games and it is boring as hell.
At one point, good Ole side imaging was just as groundbreaking as ffs. Why you using it? Wait... you do t have 2d sonar and down imaging do you? You graph over an area and mark fish, then fish for em? Takes all the fun out of it. You're lookin at em. You're cheating.
