Wife is aiming to get this. Test drive was great vs Audi offering. Big ding on the Audi was the brakes felt terrible. Of note, you don't have to add the packages, you can add additional items individually. Torque feels great on this unit!

So basically, it’s the same as the 2022… the only difference is it has chrome framing the windows as opposed to black framing around the windows

I love my car. I have the 2021 model and same color. The only annoying thing is the brakes. I had to replace the rear brake pads after 18k miles. Cost me about $350. Not bad.

I have m sport carbon ceramic brakes and it cost me about $1k for rear pads and rotors. They've saved my life several times so it's worth it I guess

Everyone talking about speed with this car like…..stop. It’s not meant for that… it’s meant to just be driven. BMW is am a amazing brand but the ones that are hating and want a fast car and better material get a Porsche taycan turbo s.

I think for the money (actually for a lot less money) I'd stick with my Mazda3 turbo. If it offered a manual it might sway me, but it doesn't.

@@AntLive29 These entry level cars shared w/ other platforms like this (Mini), Audi A3 (VW), or just very cheap for the segment (Mercedes A class) are loss leaders to get people into the brand. Marketing teams hope they'll buy a properly engineered vehicle from their brand in a few years, and REALLY hope you don't look outside the specific competitors they want you to look at. "No one cross shops a Mazda3 against a Mercedes A class". Well that's because Mercedes doesn't want you to..... Everyday Driver did a video on how similar those vehicles are, and that was the non turbo Mazda. For the price of the Mercedes, switch to the turbo Mazda and get 60+ more horsepower and 100lb ft more torque.

@@kingreko1780 Key word back in 2015 i had a 2021 Mazda 3 premium and had not one problem with it. They have cleaned up their brand and the newer models have redesigned engines. Now the cx-5s are debatable but other than that the newer ones are solid.

You can tell when people are not cultured AT ALL 😂. To Germans/Bavarians gran coup is like saying large coupe aka SEDAN. Figure it out.

My daily driver is a 2011 328i Xdrive. Had to get that vanos thing fixed on a security recall by the dealer. They gave me a 2024 228i Xd as a courtesy car. It drives LIKE A TERCEL with some more power. Steering is vague, shitty engine sound, LOTS of cheap plastic, the list goes on. What happened to BMW???

Bruh... this is not the 2 series the other automotive journalists are talking about. This is the FWD based one that EVERYONE hates. The 2 series you're referring to is the RWD coupe version. This is a glorified mini which a civic si would absolutely destroy. I'm surprised you gave this so much praise considering the number of cars you've reviewed.
