So, I have just a Dinan Sport in my 2020 G20 330i and I have a racebox to record times. I was planning on doing more to it, but I might just end up buying a 2022-2024 M340i. Anyway, I am able to hit 5.24-5.5 0-60 times in my 330i. It's definitely much better than the F30 328i because my buddy can barely get under 6 seconds (Between 5.75-5.95 0-60 times).
Test drove the LCI 330i when I service my car recently (pre LCI) and found the car to be slightly more hesitant in terms of power delivery which I guess is true as your first video you did about the pre LCI model doing 0-100 in 5.5 sec. Maybe BMW have tuned it to focus a little more on comfort for the LCI as it is more linear and suspension is also a little softer compared to mine.
Thanks. G70 3.3T is more powerful and quicker in a straight line but the handling of the 330i is on another level, when pushed (in normal conditions the G70 is more comfortable). The 330i takes an absolute thrashing on a technical road whereas the G70 isn't as committed; sloppy, in comparison, including in power delivery. The cabin might be/feel a bit bigger in the G70 though, and the price difference obviously gives the G70 strong appeal.
Wow very nice car and quick. But according to the BMW website this thing starts at 103k and the M340i xdrive starts 115k. You'd fine the money for that B58 surely. Remember the days when you could get a VFII Redline manual driveaway under 60k. 😢
Hey mate, been watching you for a while, one thing I've always wished for is some kind of fuel consumption / highway revs at 100/110km as well as highway decibel reading... segment.... if you have the space and patience 😅 Otherwise, keep up the good work!
Hi mate, Thanks for watching. Yes, great feedback and great idea. I currently record audio levels (peak) under full throttle across 60-110km/h. Do you mean simply record at normal driving at 100km/h? And include a photo of rev counter at 100 to show the gearing. I could incorporate that fairly easily, using the same strip. I always include our tested fuel economy in the written reviews. I can easily include these figures in the videos as well, or do you mean a specific test? I have a heap of videos to roll out over the coming week or so and they will be pretty much the same as PDrive style, just while I build up the content/channel. But you'll see some new features and styles added in along the way. Thanks again mate.
@@drivingenthusiastaustralia yeah mate a gearing shot at 100-110km would be great, or might be easy for the brake test if you flick it back to normal mode and or give a couple of seconds so viewers can see, but I'm not editing pro. And yes, just decibels at solid 100km/h, if it's coarse chip that's even more useful as the variances can be wild, even in premium marques, as I'm sure you're full aware of. Keep up the good work mate. It's great being a start up, so to speak, you can make it how you want. 👍
@@drivingenthusiastaustralia re the fuel consumption, im probably more thinking a specific test, but now that I say that out loud, would be fair bit more work I guess, or if you take the same trip more or less when testing the cars, maybe just that figure, assuming it's predominantly highway speeds? Cheers mate
