I've tried the BMW 20 ways seats in many of their other cars. But for some reason, they feel the best in the 5 Series - I think it's the driving position -- feels just right.
Good review. I recently bought an F10 528i. I had a 2014 Acura TL SH-AWD, that car had character. To be honest I would love to have that Acura again. That car to felt better at hight speeds. Now the bmw has more luxury appeal and features. It rides smoother and a quieter. The Bmw wins in luxury, the Acura wins in sports sedan. I'm speaking of the two models specific I own and experience.
I think the F generation of cars were some of BMW's worst, in terms of chassis. Particularly the F10 -- it has the chassis rigidity of a limp noodle and is a very heavy car - with more squeaks and rattles than you can shake a stick at.
Excellent review. Agree re the Goldilocks comment. Roomy, comfortable, mpg and more than ample power makes for a great daily driver. Low demand makes for great deals. Only concern is long term reliability if you buy one….shame re the upcoming infotainment and lack of physical buttons.
What do you think about the 2024 model, it kinda looks weird to me 😅 but I def agree this current gen is very elegant wouldn't mind daily driving an M550i version
@@MeynMotorGroup TBH I'm going to hold my opinion on it till I see one in the flesh, I hated the beaver teeth front of the previous 3 series in pics and vids, yet in the flesh with a plate in the center it kinda looked ok, so maybe this will look better in the flesh?
Planning on buying a used one of these 2023 models with 22k miles on it. Good buy? I see you mention these are a lease & dump type with reliability concerns. Of course any used car is a gamble
Great review. I recently picked up a 2020 with 22K miles for half the price and remaining factory warranty. However I have wireless CarPlay and all the wireless charging, gesture controls and advanced technology. Not sure if things changed after 2020
@@MeynMotorGroup I am actually targeting those loaners (some call courtesy cars) at bmw or audi dealerships. Exactly... not a worn out 530i/a6 at a random used car lot. They come with huge discounts compared to new/msrp . Say a 2023 is $57K when new, as a loaner at 8K mileage they are asking for $43K.
@@MeynMotorGroup I just watched your 2021 A6 video; comparing your youtube review of A6 to this 530i review, you sound here you enjoyed 530i a lil more :)
Yes - buy it before they destroy the next 5 Series with iDrive 8. It could be just me, but I've drove the 5 Series a few times over the last four years and it seems like it's gotten a little harsher each time. Although the first time was with the adaptive suspension, which they don't offer on the 530i or 530e any more. Only thing I don't like about the 5 Series is the lack of storage space. ZERO storage under the false floor, in the trunk. Prior generations were better about this. For such a big car you would think that they could have figured something out. Even the last gen 3 Series had a nice storage spot under the false floor, in the trunk. Between that, and the insanely bright headlights you'll be blinded with while driving at night, in a sedan, it makes a compelling case for the X5.
Oh good I thought it was just me because I was not able to lift up that flap in the trunk 😅 I think this 5 series rode well due to the 18" wheels and there was no run flat tires on this model
@@MeynMotorGroup Got you bro definitely before the weekend is out but first ima get that last Lexus sports car video you did. out the way first lol I’ve got to catch up 🤝😎
