The climate control has additional control under settings in the climate menu. You can make 70 degrees cold or hot. There's literally a hot/cold scale under settings. It's to fine tune your temperature selection. It's been a thing in BMW for years. My 2014 X3 has it on the actual vents and my 23 M340 has it in idrive 8. Same concept

Completely agree on the auto start/stop feature. They really need to make a software update to toggle it off. Getting my m340i in February can’t wait.

Pre-LCI had available rear heated seats. I didn’t spec them on my 2020 330i, but it for sure was an option. As for cooling seats, I sort of wish it had them too. Then again, never had an issue with the Vernasca leather in Dallas summers mostly because the Max AC button (and remote start) usually help cool the cabin down very quickly. Even though my previous car before the 3 had cooled seats, I ended up not missing them. In fact, my new 2023 M340i has Vernasca leather again since it really didn’t turn out to be as big of an issue for me as I thought it would.

Agree on the auto start/stop, you can reprogram the car with bimmermode to remove it completely

For the AC issue, turn those round dials near the central vents, this is unique BMW thing that overrides anything you do hahah

I just bought my 2023 BMW 330I Xdrive a week ago and I will say there was alot to be desired in the features dept. Cons: 1.) Location of cup holders in reference to wireless chargers. 2.) Phone calls or music connecting to the car prior to me actually starting the car. 3.) Calls staying in the car even after turning the car off. 4.) Using phone as your key to enter the vehicle. Goes to start vehicle, car shuts off and says “key is not recognized or found” Has to wait 10 seconds before attempting to start it again. Even though the key fob is in the cup holder. 5.) Under utilized screen space for climate presets. The temperature option is always available. Optioning to be able to have more climate controls at the bottom of the screen like the temperature would of been more convenient, since you cannot access the all of the climate functions until touching the screen. 6.) Lastly, no indication on whether or not your heated steering wheel is activated or not. Something as simple as there being an icon on the gauge cluster or having the button change colors when in use so you know it has been activated would be a simple fix. I know some of these are small complaints, but I will say they are features that make it less convenient of a drive for me personally!

There is a temperature control (cool to warm) in the climate control menu that is independent of the main temperature control. Blind it, turn it to cold then you can turn the AC off sometimes and have cooler ambient air coming in

I think you can put it in sport mode and program sport mode to comfort for each of the settings. Then When you get the start stop problem select sport mode and ASS is disabled.

AC On + Auto On + Dynamic. There is a Heated seat option for rear passengers. Weird they took the auto start off button off the 23 models. My 2020 had the buttons.

We definitely have different things that annoy us. I'm trying to decide if I want to order a post-LCI M340i or try to find a 22 and older that has all the options I want (including the adaptive cruise, which very very few cars were ordered with) while I save up my down payment.

Fire wireless charging I believe it had to do with the MagSafe in iPhones. Reacting to the magnets in the charger Wireless charging almost never worked in my 530i and not even in my acura TLX. Honestly it just sucks. I could be wrong but that’s my experience.

BINGO on the wireless charger. My 3023 M340i is the same. The dealer service department told me it is operating as designed but it is not. My phone bakes in the charging cradle and doesn’t charge. I did drive an X5 loaner and in that vehicle the wireless charging worked perfectly. Charging without cooking the phone.

I think you can code auto ON/off, I hate it on my 330i too. But eventually you can code it off. Wireless charging, thought about getting it but after watching a lot of reviews, I didn't go with it. I stick with wires, and have one of those which you can share the wires with frds to charge at the same time.

I just took delivery of my 2023 330i xDrive and BMW added back the button for Auto Stop/Start.

The wireless charging pad is also too narrow for larger Samsung phones.

I agree with the wireless charger. I had my car for two days and noticed my phone does not charge on the pad. I pick it up and my battery is lower. My phone is apple too.

How come that you don't have on/off button under your start/stop engine?

Turn the auto off for the ac to avoid it making decisions for you. I had that issue as well

I’d take it back to the dealership and have them replace that wireless charger. My wireless charger on my M3 works good on iPhone and android. I’m always on Sport mode.

I got the car 5 days ago, have an android and the same thing happens, it really heats and it might charge it a little but but not worth it

Dude I’m pretty sure you can turn off the auto shut off…isn’t there a button in the centre console near the gear shift?…it is usually an “A” with a circle around it

I recently bought a new 2023 BMW M340i xDrive. It is a very enjoyable and fun driving machine. Except..... I hate the controls on this irritating car. Everything that you need to do you have to do through the infotainment center screen and many options are buried several layers deep. It is a horrible, lousy, poor, very difficult and time consuming design. It is also very dangerous for the poor driver. Whoever designed this horrendous controls should be fired. I wish I knew these design faults as I would have never bought this car. It is my fault. A big shame on BMW. Check these controls before you buy this model. You have been forewarned. Check everything thoroughly. Hope BMW will redesign all the horrible and irritating controls for 2024. Another issue I have is that even when the AC is OFF I get cold air blowing thru the vents as if AC is ON. Not all the time but it does occur many times. Is there a hidden setting that may fix this unwanted feature?
