I don't get the problem with Tony. I like his game and attitude. Yes, sometimes he makes defensive mistakes, but I'll accept that. He is a necessary piece on the PP.
Just needs to tighten up D wise, outside of that great first passes out of his own end and brings it. Just fix the D positioning. Guy gives a shit, need more like em!

A really skilled player with an ego that renders him uncoachable. Only real option is buyout. Few GM's are interested in even taking half his salary. Flyers are just the latest team to find this out.

Follow up to my earlier post…his take on the PP struggles (specifically regarding the PP unit personnel flip flopping) surely does not/will never sit well with Torts. For a guy that repeatedly said he “won’t get into it,” he sure does say and offer plenty of opinions. No way he’s in Philly next year.
It's a tough read on him as he seems like the type of person that rides a fine line between confidence and arrogance in his demeanor and delivery. When walking that line, it's sure to ruffle some feathers. I'm sure this is where the problem lies with him. I think he conducted himself well here and didn't bad mouth anyone to the public. Who knows what he's said outside of the public eye and who it may have pissed off. Loose lips sink ships as the saying goes.
That would be a hell of a way to keep a bad contract and fire any hope for a playoff team in the next 5 years. The Flyers can't continue to make bad decisions as they have in the last 5 years. It's time for Philly fans to realize the Flyers suck and be ready to get some hard discipline from someone like Torts. He's really the reason that the current turd of a team we have won as many games as it did this year.
