Visiting Angels, the nation’s leading provider of senior home care, named Jermaine Cureton of Pottstown as a finalist for the 2023 National Caregiver of the Year award. He received a $2,500 check and a special award at a ceremony on Friday, July 28th.
When Jermaine started with Visiting Angels of Pottstown, Pennsylvania eight years ago, he brought along his magnanimous personality, fantastic sense of humor, and infectious attitude.
“Jermaine is very charismatic and connects so well with clients. He loves what he does, and it shows,” explains Alycia Wertman, one of the Visiting Angels of Pottstown franchise owners. “Everyone in our office voted to nominate Jermaine for Caregiver of the Year. He is so deserving; he provides a great service to our community, positively impacts lives, and makes a difference in the lives of his clients and their families.”
Phil, one of Jermaine’s clients, has relied on a caregiver’s assistance for over 20 years since suffering a serious injury that left him wheelchair-bound. “Jermaine is one of the best caregivers I’ve ever had. He is such a highly professional person yet so personable. I really appreciate him. He is a great representative for Visiting Angels. He should be teaching other people around the country how to be a caregiver.”
