Nice, Yeah, I'd just bought my T7 before the Rally came out . Still love the T7 great bike, but for less hard core than the Rally. As you know, the Rally is more of a freedom machine especially when exploring Solo.
@@malybullg Yeah, sounds good. My Email used to be in my profile, but I dont know what RU-vid has done with it. Not sure I want to post it here though. Sick of trying to be scammed. Maybe Facebook is a way to get in contact.
You have summed up the Rally perfectly. I downsized from the Africa Twin Adventure Sports last November to the Rally and I haven't stopped smiling. This little bike has opened up so much more for me ie trail riding etc. She's a more than capable bike which covers trails and long distance road riding. I shall be upgrading the front and rear suspension in the near future which will set me back £2000 ($4000 AUD) but it s still cheaper than getting a KTM or a Husky. Anyway great video, looking forward to seeing more of your adventures on the Rally. Subscribed 👍🏻
Yeah, It's an awesome bike , better than I was expecting. Thanks for the comment and sub, I'll check your channel out, and subbed.👍 I will upgrade the suspension as well eventually.
I’m I’m the same boat mate. Traded in my ATAS for a rally. I tried learning off road on the big twin. All I learnt was how to pick it up. Not looked back since. I can now go off exploring (as much as you can in Kent UK) without the worry of getting stuck under my bike or bogged down without a hope of getting out. So much more fun and freedom. Just bought a gs1250 rally purely as a road bike. It’s fantastic. But if I had to sell one of them it’d be the GS. You can’t beat the little Honda for smiles per miles. Cheap as chips too in comparison. Cheers,
they are great lil bikes and go anywhere. On the rear sussers, i know you know they need doing but don't wait, friend of mine got bucked over the bars and had a busted nose and elbow, 8 weeks off riding all because he was putting off doing what he knew he had to...
Ditto getting on and buldging discs 😂 I'm even thinking sbout something lighter as even the picking up the 250 loaded is a struggle in some situations, but I just don't know what. Enjoy the little red beast you'll have a ball. 👍
look at the new GPX 250 4 stroke, it is air cooled and uses a xr250 engine that has been tuned up to give 30hp - it weighs 106kg and has proper suspension etc - long service intervals too due to the engine 🙂 5k in UK so i bet they are 8.5-9.5 in oz?
@@ogasi1798 All I could find was the FSE250E, but its made by GPX in the States. Quotes 24HP and doesnt state maintenance intervals. It mentions the XR motor and no shims. 108kg dry weight. So I guess this is what you're talking about. Impressive, but a bit of a mystery at the moment. And theres this. THIS MOTORCYCLE IS A COMPETITION MODEL ONLY AND IS NOT MANUFACTURED FOR, NOR SHOULD BE USED ON PUBLIC STREETS, ROADS OR HIGHWAYS. THE USE OF THIS MOTORCYCLE SHOULD BE LIMITED TO PARTICIPATION IN SANCTIONED COMPETITION EVENTS UPON A CLOSED COURSE AND SHOULD NOT BE USED FOR GENERAL OFF-ROAD RECREATIONAL RIDING. IT IS INTENDED FOR EXPERIENCED RACERS ONLY, NOT FOR BEGINNERS
They're a great little bike Jethro, and a great compliment to the T7 (assuming you keep it). They're ability for eating miles on the road is terrific - for a small capacity engine. Fuel eccon - Yep ridicules! I was still getting 30.9 kays per litre after 17,900 kays. Amazing. And yep they get up and go - once over 5000 rpm hey. And yep, you can pick them up without blowing out your back (got bulging disc also) That was a great look into the Rally, really enjoyed it - I got all nostalgic 😅 Enjoy it mate, look forward for following your travels on RU-vid 😎👍
Thanks for the great Comment Phil, appreciate it. Following your travels as well. Was up your way a couple of months back, actually went bush in our SUV's looking for an old Farm where my Missus side rellos grew up. Couldn't find it, but plenty of tracks out Bellingen way. 👍
Thanks, yeah the tailbag is a Nelson Rigg RG-1055 Trails End Adventure Tail Bag. $219.95 from MxStore +Shipping. Theres a second zipper that lets it expand to bigger than the way I had it in the video. Not waterproof though. Cheers .
Garmin Zumo 396 LMT-s With the appropriate power adaptor and mount. Had to make a plate to mount it to the Nav Bar. It's a few years old now, and I'm not sure Id buy another. There are lots more options these days with apps etc.
Yeah, impossible to have everything. With lighterweight, and more power, the maintenance intervals shorten, with better suspension, the price increases, its all a tradeoff.
Awesome video.. Hello dear, I watch your channel videos everyday. Your video is very good, but due to some problem in your channel (not SEO done) your video views are very low. If you solve these problems, your channel's video views will increase and your channel will grow. I can help if you want.
