I've got a 2022 Charger Scatpack with that motor. When I drive like a grandpa I get about 14 mpg around town. It's a blast to drive and the sound of that engine is intoxicating. It's sad to see the Hemi V-8's go bye bye. It kind of reminds me of the late '60's when all those beautiful cars went away like the Roadrunners, GTO's, and the Superbees.

They're subwoofers, you don't need to hear them directly, you feel them.

Good video! I recall in your previous episodes with Chryslers that you're not a fan of them because of quality and reliability but in this video you consider buying one because it's exceptionally built?

Judging from the air leaks around the door I dont think exceptional build is the word, but we have to admit they do make exciting cars to drive so I would want one anyway. Same with most European cars......Italians are the worst.....they are always in the shop but the owners want them anyway. If I needed a quality ride that wont let me down there is Toyota, Lexus, or Honda although boring to operate.

What would you consider a truer, in-production American muscle car?
@chadhaire1711
@chadhaire1711 Год назад
I have not checked the parts list but I dont think there really is a true American made muscle car. Last Mustang I looked at had engines and transmissions made in Europe, and not sure about the Camaro and Corvette at the moment. Today I don't think anyone really cares about who and where a car is made....same with American brand guns....many are made in Turkey or have parts made outside USA.

You need to find another subject to talk about and not cars. 😅. Sorry

Okay Goober..here are some things I can talk about besides cars: A. People who make comments on youtube while hiding behind a fake troll name. B. People who have no life so subscribe to 110 youtube channels....no life but lots of time it seems. c. Fools who subscribe to the Artur Rehi podcast channel....one of the fakest bullshit pods hosted by on the the biggest liars and retard on youtube. Ukraine has been getting their ass kicked bby the Russians every day but Artur is there telling you Ukraine is advancing all over the front.....advancing so quick they will by at the English Channel by Christmas.....bet you are also suckered to watch the Sarah=N-tuned car channel and think you are looking at a girl...... D. Anything else you would like me to talk about Goober let me know.....

No. Paddle shifters belong on the column because they can never be confused in the middle of a turn when your wheel is upside down. Who keeps their hands in the same spot through a whole turn, every turn? Supercars and race cars have paddle shifters on the column for this very reason. Either way, enthusiasts prefer 3 pedals. Automatics are boring unless they peel your face off from a dig.

Wrong...on ALL counts. 1. Paddles are put on the column in racing cars because of cost....it easy to mount them on a steering column....mounting on a wheel is complex and has to be designed from scratch. 2. Everyone keeps their hands in the same spot in a turn unless they are backing into a parking spot, and if they had some reason to move their hands on some crazy tight turn, they would have no reason to shift. 3. There are plenty of reasons to shift when taking corners, and paddles on the wheel can be reached in corners, they can't if mounted on the column, which is only good for driving in a straight line----making them worthless--driving in a straight line the car is quicker in automatic DRIVE mode. 4. The only enthusiasts who prefer a clutch are wanna-be's. Manuals are slower, use 20% more fuel, and no more reliable, cost more to operate due to clutch replacement.....on small high rpm motors the manual can work well, but on a turbo or supercharged engine where torque is created at low rpm, manuals are a total waste and kill performance. 5. 95% of cars have paddles on the column---for a reason....or lots of reasons.

@@chadhaire1711 Cost is the driving factor, not performance or efficiency in hand over hand steering.....on race and supercars. Okay, boomer.
