My 2023 Ford F 150 gets a 4in MBRP STRAIGHT PIPE and it sounds awesome!! Absolutely love how it sounds after removing the muffler!

I tried that 4” MBRP non-resonated kit on my 5.0. I agree it sounds kinda funny at times. For how bad it droned compared to the sound output, I ditched it and went back to 3” piping and bought a Corsa universal muffler. It was perfect.

Yes the drone is horrible! It's a lot better with the muffler removed but not perfect.. my plan is to build a custom equal length exhaust so it sounds more like a mustang

I have the awe exhaust on my 5.0 f150 and love it it’s loud when you want it to be and quiet when you need it to be lol zero drone inside either

Less exhaust pipe will get rid of the crack. I had a side exit on my 18 and it sounded great , rear exit was gross

I'd do a side exit if I could, but with these power steps they're extended so you can use them to reach into the box... so I can't do that unless I remove them, unfortunately

If you need to chg again I would suggest Solo Performance for F150. Totally sick and very good price. I dont use anything else. Oh and NO DRONE, none.

Do a 2.5 strait after the resonator into a y pipe with twin 4 inch slash tips perfect sound on my 14 1st gen coyote

I picked up my FP700 a couple of weeks ago and I have the mbrp exhaust ordered. The OEM system is inadequate.

@@RadDadisRad Did the performance exhaust get rid of the vacuum cleaner woosh sound of the OEM system? My truck when going past a wall with throttle sounds like crap. For now that is. I have a single cab short bed and FPP doesn't show a kit for it. 😞😞😞 S

@@smjrhp1 lol, yeah I don’t have any whoosh. Rumble and whine is all I hear. I will say you might be hearing the integrated bypass valve bypassing some boost back to the manifold. If I remember right the engine side of the blower has a bypass so it doesn’t surge at idle.

@@RadDadisRad This is definitely exhaust blast as it reverbs against other vehicles and startles the hell out of them lol. 3" exhaust is at best good for 460 hp flywheel. S

Welp, I put a 4" mbrp turbo back straight pipe on the 7.3 and looks like history is gonna repeat itself on the 23' f150 yote🤷‍♂️

Hope you like it for awhile. I put the flowmaster flowFX on my 2022 f150 with the 5.0 and it’s sad to say but I’m already tired of how loud it is in the cab 😢

That one wire you remove from the battery doesnt work to disable the cylinder deactivation maybe someone will come up with a tune to flash that out of the computer i had to do it to my silverado because one of the lifters that shuts off got stuck in the off position making the cam act up and the engine run terrible making a knocking sound it could have grenaded my engine i got lucky though

Yeah unfortunately not on the newer ones.. I was watching a video on a 21 and it worked on his truck! But it didn't on mine. You can tune these truck and they shut it off I believe, it's just annoying as hell when you want an aftermarket exhaust

I have a question how do you get your F150 to power brake like that. I have a 2022 F150 with the 5.0 coyote and I will not turn the tire for the world. Do you have any tips for me I've tried sport mode Trac off and everything

Some times it let's me and sometimes it doesn't. I'm assuming the computer doesn't let it.. but what helps is traction control off, sport mode, and smash the has really fast... don't ease into it. That's what works best for me

I have the same exhaust now, haven’t straight piped it yet. Do you still have it straight piped? Or did you end up getting a resonator?

Currently still have it straight piped, it sounds really good other than wide open.. I think it gets the clap a little which I don't love but i don't do it much so I've just left it for now. Might try a resonator in the spring to see how it sounds

Sounds good, I appreciate it. I heard “Vibrant” is a good resonator. I’m gonna straight pipe mine when I get the chance. And if it has to much clap noise I’ll install a resonator as well. I don’t like idle with the muffler as you stated either.

I want to do duals then add an xpipe to make it kinda sound like a Mustang.. i think they sound so amazing where the trucks are kind of blah in my opinion

@RecklessOffsets yea that motor needs to breath but on e85 they make good torque number to wheels like 400s and it's only rated 410tq at crank . Might loose some of that with more free flowing exhaust but gain alot up top . I'm picking up a borla system next Friday it needs something coming from a cammed mustang it's to quiet for me

Definitely think it needs a resonator.. I wanna keep it loud but clean up the tone lol I think next year I'm gonna build my own exhaust system that's a true dual setup into an x-pipe or maybe an H-pipe to get it to sound more like the mustang

Dude ditch that muffler do a black widow neighbor hater with no res a it will sound loud an proud did it on my 2015 f150 coyote an it sounds better then most mufflers unless bora extreme that's a loud ass exhaust system

It's currently a 4in straight pipe, I removed that shitty sounding muffler! I think this summer I'm gonna try building a custom equal length exhaust.. i want it to sound more like my mustang lol I love how the mustang sounds! The truck are ehh and that's because of the un equal length unfortunately lol

8:52 oh the truck coyotes now have cylinder deactivation. So at low load they’re deactivating either 2-4 cylinders. I hate to break it to you a muffler delete is not going to solve your problem it will literally only amplify it.🤦🏼‍♂️

It droned in the cab pretty bad with the muffler still on. It's noticeable either way obviously with loud exhaust, just doesnt drone nearly as bad now. I drive in sport mode most of the time so that it doesn't do cylinder deactivation. Plus it sounds better without the muffler.

@diambo4life yes that's for sure. Once spring rolls around, I'm gonna take a look at where I can put a loop to equal it out.. gonna be tight but it'll be so worth it. I absolutely love how these coyotes sound, but the exhaust has to be equal length in my opinion lol

It’s a deeper tone between 3 and 4 in I did the same on a 14 5.0 went with a diamond eye 4 inch and love it sounds clips are different than real life.
