Don't set goals. Wake up every morning and get moving. by the end of the year, celebrate what you did get done and be amazed by how much you did accomplish. You'll be happier and so will your readers.😁👍
I think my 2023 goals were not acheived or partly achieved. Not even going to look at it 😅 But I've got 2024 goals and plans! Looking forward to those. Some are very ambitious, others are easily accomplished. Hoping the mix will give my self-esteem a boost come year end 😅
That’s a good idea, to mix things up with ambitious goals and easy ones. Maybe that’s where I go wrong, I either make too many or have too many ambitious ones. For 2024 maybe I need to make a list of ten and then only pick five 😂

Hey Steven! Merry Christmas to you too - what did you ask Santa for this year? 1. I’m going to have to say Otrera’s ending has been the most difficult as I don’t know how it ends 🙈 2. I used to be much more emotionally attached to my characters, but not so much anymore so I don’t think it affects me to kill off any characters, even the main ones. 3. I would make traditional publishing more transparent, which would probably ruin the whole industry but I don’t care 😂

It's brave of you to revisit your goals and share openly those that you were not able to achieve because a lot of us experienced the same thing. We all have those phases, it's part of being human and learning. But what a monumental achievement of completing and preparing for the publication of Maiden of Artemis! Honestly I would also say publishing a book is damn amazing and self publishing at that!! You achieved 1 major goal!! Way to go, celebrate that big goal and then since I'm selfish goal for next year is to get book 2 published, and I'll keep bugging you on that one too!
To be fair, I think (at least from the outside) you did a great job this year buddy. Lets face it: Keeping a child alive is hard enough without everything else on top. You achieved more than me and i have a very, very quiet life. The fact you also managed to handle all the self-pub stuff you got done is really impressive and figuring out short form content? Mate, that's a crowning achievement. I demand that you share your expertise. 2023 was a crazy year for me. I never expected to have a story get physically published and I'm so proud of the freelance work I've done. My main goal for next year is pretty much the same as you: stop trying to juggle so many balls. I've been so close to burning out in this last quarter and I need to avoid that. I can't just bounce around from idea to idea to satisfy my creative itch. I've gotta give myself structure and take my time with things. The first half of the year is going to be focused on my anthology project and that's it. Anyway, I'm really glad I found your channel this year. I feel like we're kinda different, but kinda the same too and it's nice to have a kindred spirit. I'm looking forward to seeing where we both end up this time next year. Thank you so much for your kind words, keeping a child alive is definitely an undertaking 😂😂😂 I’m by no means an expert on short form content, but I’ll add a little video of that to my list for next year. It sounds like you kicked 2023’s butt!! Getting a story published is a fantastic achievement, I need to go get the anthology just so I can read your work. The fact that you’ve done freelance work at all is impressive to me - the idea of having my own business is something that makes me feel queasy. I completely understand being on borderline burnout, and don’t want that for you at all. I have a similar problem with the ideas, getting too many going and then feeling overwhelmed. If I figure out how to stop that nonsense I’ll let you know. Finding your channel has also been a highlight of my year, it’s been so fun listening to your content and chatting with you my friend.
