Hey thanks! Charles is a pretty good rider! It's unfortunate that our bike let us down! Just goes to show how important testing is! This bike only had maybe 30 min of run time and most of that was carb tuning! Ran amazing the day before at practice tho!
Great video. Congratulations on finishing. Those breakdowns take away a lot of time. I have a lot of questions but I'm wondering about the bike. You run a fuel pump? I'm puzzled about the stalling. Maybe fuel tank venting? I don't know. I have zero racing experience but there are some areas of the track that appear to be challenging with a "hard tail" at speed. I would need three or more practice laps to understand what I'm doing in certain sections. Another thing is fuel. How many laps did you get in before you needed fuel?
Ya it has a pulse pump under the seat. I was running the bowl dry tuning the carb. Looking back with little to no testing on the bike before we went. Testing would have been awesome we just ran out of time. I swear last year we ran that whole race and filled up once towards the end. Not this year we learned the hard way that 3 maybe 4 laps then a refill was going to be needed. Im not sure about the stalling. It has to be a bad fuel pump or the tank vent. I'm with u tho I'm thinking it's a tank venting problem.
