at what point does it become worth it for toss to build anti mine cannons? Like you do actually have to scout that bunny is going for units that will not scale well and is planning on doing damage now. Just a cannon in the main and at the 3rd so your stalkers can actually roam and catch medivacs and you have that many less places to give 100% of your attention
@@nohbodhi1120 You build 2 cannons for main and natural. The enemy didn't go widow mine drop build. You just gimped yourself for nothing and would probably lose at this high level. It's a gamble. The pros have to gamble not building a cannon because building it all the time means losing most of the time.
@@N0noy1989lol nono, even if you scout mine drop, you build forge (-150), then you probably build at least one pylon since your cannon position needs to be in the mineral line and you usually don't have power there (-100), then you build 2+ cannons (-300). During all of this you have to cut either eco (ur behind) or army (ur behind). And Terran player loses at MOST medivac + mines. Then they crush you with a push, since you don't have any army or don't have eco. It makes 0 sense to make static vs mine drop.
Out of the 03 races, Protoss is the most difficult to micro. They are also clueless in terms of map vision and scouting compared to Zerg (creeps, spread Overlord) or Terran (active scan). Thus, whenever they face surprise attacks such as widow mines drop, baneling run by, or opponents switch techs... they are the last to know. Moreover, the Zealot dies easily when they charge into combat, which causes them less cost-effectiveness. I truly think Zealot needs a slight buff to compensate.
Widow mines should have been nerfed. Widow mine drops in TvP are much easier to execute than to hold, not super high investment, not really punishable and also very unexciting to watch for viewers.
Idt they’re that hard to stop. You need to have a scout on each side of your bases and then detection to clean them up after they fire. As a viewer they’re also very exciting to watch! Always fun to see how many workers they can kill
I really think that zealots should cut healing when they hit the target. Like 25-50% reduced healing. It's crazy that such a high commitment unit can be so ineffectual because their targets can just kite away and heal the whole time while doing it. I think this match up would be so much more balanced if zealots played a role outside of target practice. It would also help vs zerg, since mass queens also plays well against protoss.
SPOILER! LOL! People ranting about Terran. Cure and Bunny are arguably top 5 terrans in the world. Both nightmare and stats aren’t even near the best Protoss. It’s obvious who will advance. Did you see how clumsy the micro and macro was from nightmare? The best Terran, Maru, was knocked out in the previous match, apparently nobody from Protoss bat an eye!
Maru lost to Zerg players, not to a Protoss. And, from my own point of view, he was kinda throwing the games away. Perhaps I was mistaken, but he seemed to have lost his formidable form lately. And even that "deformed" Maru still beat one of the best current Protoss Hero not long ago, so Protoss definitely needs a review for an upgrade.
I love it when I miss a few days of Afreeca due to working, come to the channel, and have the matches spoiled for me because in 2023, people still don't know how to title a video properly.
