Got most my stuff lined up. Dm810, 2 amps, 2 sets of door components. Still deciding my subwoofer direction and build options. I've absorbed ideas and knowledge from so many videos like yours. Thank you!
I will be doing part 3 video of the outcome! It sounds very very clean and it plays lows and highs like i always wanted. I recomend this setup to everyone.
Thank you so much for this video!!! I was struggling to find the grommet in the firewall to pass my wires through! Thank you for showing how to find it!
Im glad i was able to help thru my video! Just be carefull not to cut, kink or splice any wire thru the rubber grommet. I took my time on doing it and it was very helpfull using a razor blade. And also temoving the grey/ sylver metal electric box out the way to get access to the rubber grommet from under dash/ foot peddle location.
Raul, sorry if you e answered this on all other comments. Do you notice a significant difference in sound when you’re not running your sound system loud? I’m referring to cabin noise that the ANC is supposed to help with.
I did something very similar to my B.E. but used a single 10" Skar with a slot ported box tuned to 34 Hz. It sounds great but always want more so I might have to look at the passive radiators. I'd love to hear it and know more of your thoughts on how it sounds.
I only wanted to run cable from the starter battery to the back of the bed on the Ridgeline. It's only for the DC to DC charging for my power stations. I might use it 4 or 5 times a year. Your way is an overkill. After looking at it for a while, I saw a round pop out plastic by the windshield wiper arm. It leads right to the engine bay. I found my way to charge the power station without doing permanent wiring. Whenever I need to charge the power station. I'll place wires over the cab with magnets. Plug into the power station and clamp on to the battery 😅
Can you please tell me the make and model of the 3.5" mid driver that you replaced? I know its 2ohm, but i can seem to find one. Thanks, and great video!
Thanks so much for doing this. When you ran the power cable, did you have to run them close to factory wires in the rubber grommet or was there a lot of room to run it? I just worry compromising existing wires. I would prefer to drill a new hole but seems this vehicle is challenging? The black fuse box under hook, It just pulls up after you pull clips back? I was getting a lot of resistance and chickened out, maybe just lack of wire tension and it needs to lift over the slots...Did the GTO from epicenter not work ? vs running a long remote cable? I think if it works, it will still utilize the remote out to your amp. Thanks. Dave
There was room to run the wire thru the rubber grommet i just needed to be carefull not to kink, splice or cut any wires from that harnness going thru the engine compartment thru fire wall under the foot peddles. I used a razor blade to make an intrusion on the rubber piece very carefully. I also was looking for a spot to drill but it is hard because there is hardly any spots inside under the dash. So, cutting thru the rubber grommet was my only choice. Yes the black fuse box pulls up and the braket holding the fuse box is held by two 10mm bolts that you also remove to get the braket removed and out of the way to get good access to rubber grommet. The GTO worked perfect too. But i prefer remote wire thats my prefference. I should be making a part 3 video soon
Quick question I’m trying to put a whole system in my car components in the front coaxial in the back may be running a five or six channel amp for the center channel as well. Is there anything special I have to do
Yes i am currently using the OEM infotainment system. You are correct there was an aftermarket unit but it was only to test fit just incase if i needed to add an aftermarket head unit and it fits perfect! But i took it out and stored away since i was able to solve my issue with the bass humming sound coming from the ANC module. What was helpfull to you from this video?
Hello I have a 2022 Honda Ridgeline and wanting to put a powered subwoofer under the back seat and disconnect the factory sub . Can I use the factory sub signal wires that runs from the factory amp to get the signal to my powered subwoofer thanks!!!
