@@DailyMotorSound Thanks for the fast reply! Understand you guys are "limited" at these events with what you get to check out. Obviously they are going to provide the best. Seems they really skimped in the sound offerings for the lower trim. Hard to look at a 45,500k car with a really basic sound system. Keep up the great work.
Please do 2023 or 2024 Sonata Limited Bose review, interested to see if any improvements and now with your further enhanced experience, what score it gets from your 5.5 in 2020 rating.
If you get a chance I’d love to hear your opinion on if the October 2023 software update made any improvements. There’s some anecdotal takes in the community that vacillate between it being a volume only change or something more transformative.
Unfortunately this was a press review unit, so I only had it for a week. I did have a 2024 review unit with the Bose recently, and it seemed decently strong but nothing fantastic. Hard to compare side by side.
Hearing from my airpods..sound clearer than most car most probably due to ev better soundproofing..acceptable i guess..not the best but better than some combustion engine 12speaker
I misspoke/pointed on the speaker count. There is only one in each rear door. It looks like two speakers to match the front, but there's only a speaker in the lower area. Sorry for the confusion!
He miscounted the doors, there is only one mid speaker in each door + two tweeters in the a pillar, one center speaker in the front and a sub in the back = 8 speakers
I bought the Lounge version and yes the stereo sucks. Really bad work. My former Ioniq had a sound system from Infinity. Much much better. Really a bummer that they switched to Bose. Way too much bass, not accurate reproduction. Radio is really bad sound: a mess!!! Playing via my iPhone gives better results. I am going to report this to Hyundai. What a bummer.
