On point review and format. No overly dramatic shots or hyping and music. Just straight facts. The details such as ADAS were explained well too. Hats off ZigWheels.
I'm sad, and it feels terrible !! Why they have spoilt the front.. it looks so yuck 🤮 just like a fish's face ! The current generation Verna's front look so good !!! And see the international version if 2023 Verna .. they have so much better better looking front.. [why India only gets the worst looking model as compared to international version always ???? The steering is so bad .. even the current i20 has a spectacular butterfly 🦋 like steering..! This is terrible !!! 😭 Even in the current verna.. 6" foot people can't sit in the back [the i10 and i20 have more head room] than Verna ! I had high hopes, but they killed this car Too much design incorporated ! It's neither fluidic nor muscular, they have mixed both n made it look terrible from all sides 😮💨 Front-looks like a fish 🐟 Sides-look neither fluidic nor muscular Back-looks like someone chopped off Also the instrument cluster of the i20 is so wonderful ❤️ .. but Verna has the one like Venue [it's a BIG downgrade!!] Very poorly placed car !!! .. It's ugly ! It doesn't follow any particular standard (front, back, sides) all are different in styling and its odd! Look at the Sonata -> it's so well proportioned and is fluidic.. the earlier verna was fluidic! But this looks bad ! Front-like a fish Back-like someone chopped off Cont.. Sides-kind of Urus at the tail end and side front end is like a toy car. Don't know who designed it! Looks like 3 people designed each part [front back side] 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻 Very bad it is 😭 exterior wise !
I think you are the only one reviewer who said right thing on design (the side design). For this I'll say most spot on analysis car reviewer (on design).
I personally liked the new style of review: you packed in a lot of substance in a short duration and allowed the viewer to get up close with the interior and exterior of the car. I don't know how and if I will like this format in the future, but for now, two thumbs up! And as always, great review!
This format is great and you guys tend to cover things other channels don’t bother about, hence I end watching your videos most of the times and multiple times.
Love this format. And I love how you called the front Robocop styled. I was looking for the perfect adjective to describe it. Thank you. In my opinion, Hyundai has been killing it in terms of styling and looks in every segment! But hey..that's just me.
Great review Tushar 👌 would love to see more of first drive reviews in this format! The design is very different in this segment relative to the existing competitors but Hyundai is sure cranking things up a notch with this All new Verna!🔥
if anybody think that this job is easy and fun just try to speak in proper manner while sitting in the car that is turned off while it's rainy environment outside. I bet you will appreciate the efforts respect+++
Verna has better engine, relatively more reliable double clutch transmission, 5 star Global NCAP rating, heated and ventilated seated, higher quality plastic/soft touch materials, variable ambient lights, better sound system, better boot space, disc breaks for all wheels, ADAS level 2 and priced even less than virus + Slavia. If you can ignore or change the front bumper it straight away looks like a 2024 Hyundai Sonata. Also finally hyundai has much better service after sales compared to horror experiences and costing of VW & Skoda. Any logical person would rate Verna at the top or maybe realise the extra cost VW/SKODA is charging. No doubt Virtus/Slavia DSG are more fun to drive, but I think it's a give or take for everything in life 😂
Tushar as usual at his best to make a layman understand the technicality kudos to your presentation skills great fan and admirer of your work #zigwheels
Looks are worst.. Fingers crossed about the build quality and safety rating.. 1.5 turbo won't give any mileage.. Not the most spacious in the segment.. And what's that steering?? I still find City, Slavia and Virtus to be better in some way, not really convinced with this new Verna.. Ur just paying for some gimmicks...
The car looks perfect..but this having a fastback design, it just bugs me that they didn't make the back glass open along with the boot like Skoda Laura/Octavia 🥲
Here's the thing... The new Creta still looks ugly compared to its way more macho looking older avatar. Now what do one do if the car underneath that ugliness is still a pretty good car? 'Not a sale dud' probably isn't really a good excuse, perhaps a better look on that car's facelift would have increased the sales even more but maybe the Koreans are tired of selling too many cars 😂 All the best to Verna though, let's wait and watch ...
It is a typical Hyundai design just like in the case of creta, Yes it is definitely over over done. But you will possibly see so many on road that the design will get acceptable. It might grow or not on you. But you will definitely get used to it looking at so many of them to become acceptable This design looks a combination of 2 cars as such, the front bumper and the hood; the side profile till the rear door. Both feel of 2 different cars Lmao i wrote this comment before watching the video completely when you started to talk on design, only to realize you mentioned the same thing anyway
Can we just start ACCEPTING a new design, Because we are the same people who criticize if some manufacturer is trying something common and old. If the Honda city wouldn't be brave enough to launch the Dolphin model, Cars wouldn't look the way they do today.
Your are absolutely right.. i like way you give a big punch to New Verna hater's. Basically in India people does not support or encourage the new things.
I really enjoyed watching your review. You bring lot of positive energy energy. Also your way of conducting the whole review was pleasing to watch. Please keep it up!!
this format works a heck of a lot better! also, the Verna objectively is a good looking car, i dont know why people say its polarizing also anything about the suspension setup? Faisal said its really soft and therefore makes it swerve
Thanks, Neil! Didn’t touch upon the suspension setup because in the process of the shoot, only managed to get about 20km of drive time on roads that were mostly well paved and straight. It does have a soft edge still, but that’s a minor tradeoff for city ride comfort. It felt fine in both seat rows at 100-120kmph - Tushar
I was not happy with the front and rear design. Now you've told me that even the side profile sucks. Great job. 😂 Ps.. I didn't know we considered 10 cms and 3 cms as huge.
The new format definitely works. Most of the available reviews simply talks about what the car is and what you get for the money, not why, and that's well explained here.
The rating announcements often take time depending on how many cars have been tested, which cars NCAP acquired or which manufacturer voluntarily sent their car (at their own cost) to Global NCAP for testing. All you can do is wait, or buy a car that has a confirmed crash safety rating you find acceptable
Liked this style of review. Hyundai in terms of features is plush, but mileage... Not so good. Been driving i20 IVT, comfort wise would say it's the best in segment, but offers 8.5 kmpl avg in Hyderabad's morning rush traffic. Guess, would be the same case with Verna too.
Perfectly explained about the design. They have got the rear right however as you move front, it feels like a different car. The front is horrible looking though
Because it’s my opinion that it’s actually not as polarising as people are making it out to be. And people who disagree with that are as correct as people who agree with it. Because it is, after all, just an opinion 😊 - Tushar
Speaking of looks again n again the same thing happened with creta and Elantra but ppl eventually.... eventually start loving it like crazy u see ppl of India are welcoming and they accept new designs as they stand out hands down so yea the sales are good so far I've been seeing many new verna's on the road so yes ppl are loving it...ppl who hate it are either German lovers or they just want it the old school way the youth loves the new verna....and it's not that pricey it offers great features in the price moreover the adas is just so good I've seen so many videos of different RU-vidrs they all are really impressed with the adas so well done on that too India needs change but safety is also a concern let's see how the new verna with 6 airbags scores in gncap
We’ll deep dive into that during our comparison review. The road conditions during this first drive weren’t varied enough to give us the complete picture
We need to stop watching these reviews. These reviewers make you feel like every car is missing something and every car is incomplete even though it's just a fraction of a compromise and in reality most of the cars are very satisfactory at their price points.
Front design seems to be following the electric car pattern which we are not used to it yet. Review was more like a comparison rather than new vehicle review.
