I have to agree with you. Having such an abrupt throttle at that price point doesn't cut it for me.

Since most bikes aren't perfectly tuned from the factory, I expect a snatchy throttle, but this was on the far end of the spectrum. Sure, you could tune it out and perhaps a gearing change to make it a little more streetable, but it's already expensive, and so for me, I will go a different direction. Having owned that exact same model now for a few weeks, I can tell you that I got used to the sensitive lively nature of the throttle very quickly. I have no intention of having the ECU reflashed. The factory tune is set up to pass European emissions regulations. I think it's euro 5 or 6. Either way it's fine for me. The bike is much fun to ride. The engine is super smooth and willing, with nice midrange torque making it VERY streetable in my opinion. It's also beautiful to look at. Fit and finish is absolutely top notch. I am very happy with this bike!

@@MotorcycleDemoRiders Actually another reviewer said that this bike was designed to appeal to boomers and hipsters. I am a boomer and I like it’s retro looks aimed at being a “modern” Kawasaki Z1. The Z1 was the king back in the day. The icing on the cake it what a great bike this is on it’s own merits. If it didn’t grab you at first glance then as you say, it’s not for you. And thats ok. There are plenty of incredible bikes out there.

I've heard several different HP numbers for these bikes. Which figure is the closest I wonder?

I look at webbikeworld.com and bikez.com before I ride. I've found those to be accurate for the most part.

From what I have heard about this model it needs a ECU flash to smooth out the throttle. It's a lean map to begin with and when you are off throttle there's the fuel is almost completely off the flash fixes that.

I believe it! I understand it has to pass emissions standards but for the money for the bike and then money to fix the throttle, for me I will sacrifice some power for a different bike. If this was 11k then it may change my mind but for 12.4 its just too much for me. Thanks for sharing that information with everyone! I appreciate you taking the time to help others. Stay safe

Good bikes! I enjoyed them both! If you haven't tried the street triple 765 I would recommend looking at it also but honestly they are all really good. Would love to hear what you ultimately choose.

@@MotorcycleDemoRiders I have tried the Z900 and the 800nk and I find them very comfortable. How is the 765r? The local triumph dealer doesn't do test rides

So far, it's one of the best bikes I've ridden for the channel. What dealership is it? Oh man, I won't buy a bike unless I ride it and won't buy from any dealership that doesn't offer test rides. We used to be able to try bikes from dealers now its getting crazy. Old guy rant over lol.

Will the dealer reflash the throttle controller before the customer takes delivery?

I would guess no since thats the stock ecu program. It would most likely require an aftermarket ecu flash.

We've known that an ecu flash is needed, you never mentioned the solution but mentioned the problem, what? A hundred and 75 times in one review? Well I didn't know it needed an ECU flash! I only counted 11 times which included the demonstration of the issue. So from with your opinion we should pay $12,399 for a bike that needs another $500 on top to fix a problem that shouldn't exist in the first place. No I will take the honest review and demonstration and take my money someplace else. Thanks @motorcycledemoriders for always being honest and keep sharing your experiences! I don't want or need confirmation bias or a sales pitch. I'm a big girl and can make up my own mind when I buy a bike.

Was für ein sinnloses Gesabbel , findet der Typ den 3 ,4,5, und 6 Gang nicht oder warum fährt der dauernd bei 7000 u/min im 2 Gang durch diese Trostlosen Americanischen Vororte😂😂😂
