I’ve only purchased Honda & Toyota in the past, but this is intriguing. I replace my vehicle every 5 yrs (due to work requirements) so maybe reliability would not be an issue during those 5 yrs….?
I’ve been watching videos on Sportages since like November and this is the first video that I’ve seen someone mention an issue with the AC. 😳 I just reserved one in MI (I had a hard time finding one and one that wasn’t insanely marked up 😩) but I live in TX, and now I’m kinda worried for the 110+ degree days we get in the summer. 👀 good thing it has remote start at least.
I'm getting my ex premium hybrid in a couple of weeks it's traveling across country by train to the dealership. Been waiting to since January and went on the Kia site last week and saw a dealership out of mo getting it and locked in the sale. They wanted 2500 over MSRP. I talked them down to 1k
Question. Did you have any issues with your cars glass cracking ? I filed a claim and it got escalated to the warranty dept and they said it's a known manufacturer defect
I currently have a 2019 Kia Sorento LX that I have been pretty happy with for the last two years and figured for a few more until I saw this vehicle a few months ago. Haven't figure out how to afford the almost double payments yet, but I will. 😆This is the exact trim, color, and model that I want.
Whish the EX hybrid in Canada has a 2 wheele option and the Canadian model has ugly 17" rims. The 18" are so much nicer. I absolutely love the styling of the new Sportage! And I love the lower bumper!
I just picked up the exact one last month. Had to pick it up from KC from Seattle and we drove it back. It was a bug magnet. I am getting about 37 mpg so far. I try to keep it in hybrid battery /eco mode. I ended up blackening the kia logos. And I covered the shiny console and handles with a wood style center console and handle😊
Hi this maybe a dumb question as I know nothing about cars except filling them with fuel, water and oil when needed. I am due to pick up my Kia2025~the top one~prestige. I was wondering do you prefer the Kia logo blacked out and if so where did you buy the blackout stickers for it. Thanks.

My daughter just got one in Virginia '23 Hybrid....she got it in 3 weeks....MSRP! If it wasn't for that 1.6l turbo I would cancel my Rav 4 Hybrid. ...up here in Canuckistan it's another 12 month wait for my Rav 4 Hybrid.
Wooow you are so lucky! What did she go with for the interior? When did she get it tho?.. It's the 22nd of September and I have been told that there is 6 orders currently on the hybrids and not a single one has been fulfilled!!! 😢😢😢
The 1.6 liter with an electric motor as well giving it an additional 90 hp. I thoguht it was just the engine to but when i looked into it more its 2 engines
This is a very compelling vehicle. But Kia is starting to follow the same path as Hyundai and over-styling their cars. Kia used to be so aesthetically clean in the 2010s, but have slowly gotten busier. Especially in the post Peter Schreyer era.
@@KirkKreifels In June we ordered this vehicle SX Hybrid - Dec./Jan. arrival (hopefully) - I've viewed (no hyperbole) approx. 75-100 RU-vid videos of Sportage/Tucson and other comparable models and your presentation was the best to date. Great job and have subscribed to your channel. BTW, I'm a bit of a technophile and not easily impressed.
What's the issue with the air conditioner? Is that a problem with the hybrid or also with the regular gas model? Any such observations by other owners?
For my wife and I, our default is the air conditioning and heating stuff on the haptic panel. Then, you can set the mode button on the steering wheel, for different media things that you select like radio, Bluetooth, USB And I like to make the little star button on the steering wheel an on off media button. So basically as the driver, I do all of my media through two buttons on the steering wheel. At least 90% of the time.
I have the CDN EX Hybrid model and the first thing I did was put aftermarket 18" rims on. The OEM 17" rims are fugly so I just use them for the winter tires.
Lol get a RAV4 Hybrid for the same if not less and have a guarantee your car will last long after the warranty, especially because right now everyone is forced to pay exactly MSRP or more. You’ll thank me later.
I mean, recalls aren’t exactly a good thing. Manufacturers are admitting too and fixing a flaw in their design but it would be better if it never had one. At least Toyotas don’t catch fire randomly though.
@@Goldenvibesss 1. Accelerating into traffic properly - especially highway traffic. Failing such, you yourself could be the cause of traffic problems for others. 2. Last minute avoidance of a traffic situation that immediately and unexpectedly presents itself to you by others. Your response suggests that you would be happier in the Amish category of traffic preferences.
It's best that the Kia doesn't use more of it's engine. Because they consume thru oil and will ultimately the engine will fail with bad piston rings in them. 😂
I have the German version now for 2 weeks and i like the car, it drives very good and it´s very quiet inside, it´s a little bit shorter as the US version but the room inside is enough for 4 people. Thanks Kirk.
Apparently the PHEV version has an 89 HP electric motor. I will be interested in what you think when you are able to drive one of those (PHEV) - comparing to your experience with this one (HEV).
